The National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER, Kolkata) has been created as a centre of excellence for higher education, research and development in pharmaceutical sciences.
The Institute offers in M.S.(Pharm.) in Medicinal Chemistry, Natural Products and Pharmacoinformatics. The Institute admits students for the M.S(Pharm.) through a common entrance test conducted by NIPER, Mohali. In future the number of M.S. programs would be increased and Ph.D programs would also be started in various disciplines of pharmaceutical sciences every year.

Candidates with Ph.D. having teaching/industrial/research experience in the relevant area for a period of three years.

Educational Qualification & Experience:
-Must have 1st class M.S.(Pharm)/M.Pharm/M.Sc degree or equivalent with Ph.D. having minimum of 8 years post - doctoral experience in teaching/research/industry, out of which at least 3 years at the level of Assistant Professor or equivalent at P.G. level.
-The candidates will have to furnish evidences the leadership quality in specific area of specialization as evidenced by research publications, patents, curriculum development and other relevant professional activities.
Desirable:
Experience in drug development with pharmaceutical formulations,validation, including patents and their safety, pharmacotherapy, clinical pharmacy and clinical trials. In addition, strong background in the areas of regulatory toxicology/pharmacology and other related areas will be advantageous.

General information:
1. Applications are invited from eligible Indian citizen. Mere eligibility will not entitle any candidate for being called for interview.
2. The Director reserves the right to withdraw any or all posts so advertised at any time without assigning any reason. Proposed requirements are for intermittent period till posts are sanctioned by the Govt. of India.
3. Candidates who fulfil the requisite qualification and experience etc. may submit their application with CV in prescribed format through e-mail at registrar@niperkolkata.edu.in within 10 days from the date of advertisement and also send a hard copy of the same with all relevant documents so to reach the Registrar, NIPER-Kolkata at CSIR-IICB Campus, PO. Jadavpur University, Kolkata –700 032 on or before the 01/02/2016 (upto 3 PM).
4. The envelope containing the CV in the prescribed format along with supporting documents in support of age, qualifications and experiences, superscribing ‘Application for the post of ...............................’, whichever is applied should be clearly mentioned, must reach the office of the Registrar, NIPER-Kolkata by speed post till 01/02/2016 (upto 3 PM).Delayed applications will not be considered, anyway.
5. Age is relaxable in respect of SC/ST/OBC as per rules and regulations. On the recommendation of the selection committee, the competent authority may relax age limit/experience/qualification on recommendation of the Committee. Higher starting pay may be considered in case of extra meritorious candidate.
6. The selection committee may also recommend considering placement
in respective lower grade depending upon qualification and experience.
7. The applicants serving in Government/Semi-Government/Public Sector Undertakings/Autonomous organizations must send their application on the prescribed format along with relevant documents ‘Through proper channel, failing which, the same will not be considered. However to save the time, candidate may send an advance copy and bring the NOC at the time of interview/test.
8. Incomplete application or without relevant supporting enclosures (attested copies of degrees/certificates/marks sheets/ experience certificates/Document certifying date of birth, reprint of important publications etc.) will be out-rightly rejected.
9. Canvassing in any form may lead to disqualification of candidature.
10. No interim enquiries/correspondence/communication will be entertained.
11. All appointments are purely temporary and contractual in nature and same is renewable depending upon performance and mutual consent. The candidate will have no right to claim for regularization of the post. All appointments are contractual in nature and onfixed pay.
12.No TA/DA is admissible for attending the interview.
