The National Centre for Cell Science (NCCS) took birth as National Tissue Culture Facility in March 11, 1986 with a mandate of basic research, teaching & training, and as a national repository for cell lines/hybridomas etc. The centre is located in the midst of academically enriched environment of University of Pune campus, Pune.

Sr.Nos. 01- RA/SRF
Research Associate (One Post)
Name of the project: ‘The NASI-Senior Scientist Platinum Jubilee Fellowship" under supervision of Dr. G. C. Mishra, NASI Senior Scientist
Upper Age limit: 35 years
Qualification & Experience: Essential: Ph.D. in Any Branch of Life Science OR MD/MS/MDS/MVSc/MPharm with three years of research/clinical/teaching experience. Those who have submitted PhD thesis may also apply.
Monthly Emoluments: Rs. 22,000/- + 20% HRA
Tenure: Two Years and Seven Months

Senior Research Fellow (One Post)
Name of the project: ‘The NASI-Senior Scientist Platinum Jubilee Fellowship" under supervision of Dr. G. C. Mishra, NASI Senior Scientist
Upper Age limit: 32 years
Qualification & Experience: Essential: M. Sc. OR Equivalent Degree with minimum of 55% marks in any Branch of Life Science and at least two years of post-M.Sc. research experience. OR MD/MS/MVSc/MDS/MPharm with minimum 60% marks.
Monthly Emoluments: Rs. 15,000/- + 20% HRA
Tenure: Two Years and Seven Months

Name of the project: “Reconstitution and structural studies on Nup93-Nup205 complex of the Nuclear Pore complex" under supervision of Dr. Radha Chauhan, Scientist 'D'
Upper Age limit: 35 years
Qualification & Experience:
Essential: Ph.D. in Any Branch of Life Science (MD/MS/MDS) OR Equivalent Degree. Those who have submined Ph.D. thesis may also apply. Desirable: Experience in Cell Biology, Cell Culture, Protein overexpression and purification.
Monthly Emoluments: Rs. 22,000/- + 20% HRA for 1st & 2nd year, Rs. 24,000/- + 20% HRA for 3rd Year
Tenure: Two years and Eight months

Sr.Nos. 03- Post Doctoral Fellow (One Post)
Name of the project: "Molecular mechanism for Regulation of lonotropic Glutamate Receptors by Their Auxiliary Subunits" under supervision of Dr. Janesh Kumar, Scientist 'D'
Upper Age limit: 35 years
Qualification & Experience:
Essential: Ph.D. in Any Branch of Life Science (MD/MS/MDS) OR Equivalent Degree. Those who have submined Ph.D. thesis in the area of crystallography and biochemistry may also apply. Desirable: Proficiency in advanced molecular biology, biochemistry and protein expression. Experience in x-ray crystallography/electrophysiology will be preferable.
Monthly Emoluments: Rs. 40,000/- Fixed
Tenure: Five years

Qualification & Experience:
Essential: M. Sc. OR Equivalent Degree with minimum of 55% marks in any Branch of Life Science and at least two years of post-M.Sc. research experience. Desirable: Experience in Immunology, Stem Cell Biology, Molecular biology and epigenetics
Monthly Emoluments: Rs. 18,000/- + 20% HRA
Tenure: One Year and Eleven Months

Name of the project: "Soluble mediators of the immune system against Aspergillus fumigatus" under the supervision of Dr. Arvind Sahu, Scientist 'G'

Qualification & Experience:
Essential: M.Sc. OR Equivalent Degree in Any Branch of Life Sciences with minimum of 55% marks. Desirable: M.Sc. in Biotechnology/Microbiology/Mol ecular Biology will be desirable. Experience in complement biology and protein chemistry techniques and animal handling will be preferred.

For JRF Position, Preference will be given to candidates who have qualified CSIR-NET/ GATE / UGC-LS examination. Selected candidates who have qualified NET/GATE will be paid stipend of Rs. 16,000/- p.m. + HRA For 1st & 2nd year, Rs. 18,000/-p.m. + 20% HRA for 3'd year depending on the project sanction order. Candidates are required to mention the post preference as per their interest and research area.
• List of candidates call for interview will be published on our website by 5.00 pm on 12/02/14.
• At the time of v/alk in Interview candidates should produce the print out copy of Registration cum Preference Form to our officials for verification. Without Registration cum Preference Form, candidates will not be allowed to attend the interview.
• In extra-ordinary circumstances, students who cannot register by email are allowed to register in person by submitting hard copy of Registration cum Preference Form at Academics Section, NCCS, Pune on or before 7* February, 2014 upto 5.00 pm.
• No new registration will be done on the Interview dates i.e. 19/02/14 & 20/02/14
• Upper age limit v/ill be considered as on the date of interview. Age relaxation of 5 years in case of SC/ST/Women/PH and 3 years in case of OBC candidates will be given as per Government of India rules. Reservation as per Govt, of India norms will be followed.
• Marks relaxation of 5% for SC/ST candidates i.e. minimum 50% marks.
• No TA/DA v/ill be paid for attending the interview.
• Selected candidates will have to join duty immediately on receipt of the offer.
• SC/ST candidates should produce proof of their caste certificate from appropriate authority and OBC candidates should produce latest non-creamy layer certificate in the prescribed form for claiming the reservation benefits.
