The advertisement was published by the Commission on August 18, 2023 for the recruitment of the posts of Professor, Government Pharmaceutical Colleges, Maharashtra Engineering Teachers Service, Group-A under the Directorate of Technical Education of the Higher and Technical Education Department of the Government. Meanwhile, as per the Reservation for Socially and Educationally Backward Classes Act 2024, dated February 26, 2024, provision of reservation for socially and educationally backward classes has been prescribed for appointment to posts under the control of the State in the State of Maharashtra and the provisions of the said Act are applicable to the advertisements of the present cadre as per Government Decision, General Administration Department, No. BCC 2024/P.Kr.75/16-A, dated February 27, 2024. In the present case, the Government was informed about sending a revised demand letter after confirming the reservation for socially and educationally backward classes. Accordingly, the revised demand letter has been sent by the Government. Accordingly, the revised details of social / parallel reservation of the posts in the relevant advertisement will be as follows.

Pay Scale :- Pay Scale S-14 Rs.1,44,200/- (Initial Pay) plus admissible allowances as per rules
Qualification : Ph.D. degree in Pharmacy and First class or equivalent at either Bachelor’s or Master’s level in Pharmacy.
Experience : (i) Minimum of 10 years of experience in teaching / research / industry out of which at least 3 years shall be at a post equivalent to that of an Associate Professor.
(ii) At least 6 research publications at the level of Associate professor in SCI Journals / UGC / AICTE approved list of Journals and at least 2 successful Ph.D. guided as Supervisors / Co-supervisor till the date of eligibility of promotion.
(iii) At least 10 research publications at the level of Associate Professor in SCI journals / UGC / AICTE approved list of journals till the date of eligibility of promotion.
Date of Calculation of Educational Qualification and Duration of Experience:-
Candidates must possess the relevant educational qualification by the prescribed last date for submission of applications as per the advertisement presented.
The period of experience will be calculated on the last date prescribed for submission of applications as per the advertisement presented.
Regarding claims of experience:-
It is mandatory for the candidate to mention Nature of Job Teaching or Research or Industry in order to qualify as per the experience claims as per the advertisement presented while making various forms of claims or updating the claims through the Commission's online application system. Apart from this, the application will not be accepted through online application system.
Candidates who have applied for the present advertisement published by the Commission only from the Unreserved (Open) or Economically Weaker Sections should submit an option to claim Other Backward Classes and Socially and Educationally Backward Classes. Also, candidates from the Unreserved (Open) category who could not submit an application for the original advertisement due to their age limit should submit a fresh application from such Other Backward Classes and Socially and Educationally Backward Classes as well as B.J. (B) candidates. The following steps should be taken in this regard:-
(1) The concerned candidate can submit an option by clicking on the "Question" button shown in front of the link provided for the advertisement of the present examination under the "My Account" heading in the candidate's profile in the Commission's online application system and mentioning the information asked.
(2) If an option is submitted to claim Other Backward Classes and Socially and Educationally Backward Classes, the claim of the concerned candidate in the original application will be considered cancelled.
(3) The candidates who have submitted the option of Other Backward Classes and Socially and Educationally Backward Classes will not be allowed the benefit of Economically Weaker Section (EWS) under any circumstances.
(4) If the candidates who have obtained the Socially and Educationally Backward Classes (SEBC) or Other Backward Classes (OBC) caste certificate and have claimed from Economically Weaker Section (EWS) do not submit the option of Socially and Educationally Backward Classes (SEBC) or Other Backward Classes (OBC), then the claim of such candidates from Economically Weaker Section (EWS) will not be considered. Also, the request for changing the said claim will not be accepted at any stage of the recruitment process.
(5) Candidates who are newly eligible as per the age relaxation admissible to the backward classes due to reservation for Other Backward Classes and Socially and Educationally Backward Classes may submit applications from Other Backward Classes and Socially and Educationally Backward Classes based on the link provided for the advertisement of the examination under the My Account heading in the candidate's profile in the online application system.
