The Institute for Stem Cell Science & Regenerative Medicine, Bangalore is an autonomous institute under the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India. iBRIC-inStem’s mandate is to establish collaborative research programs in the field of stem cell biology, regeneration, and repair in development and disease, with an emphasis on translation. To develop strengths in focused areas, research at iBRIC-inStem is driven through collaborative interdisciplinary teams, addressing questions that are beyond the scope of a single laboratory.

Post : Project Associate

iBRIC-inStem invites applications (online) from eligible candidates for contractual positions under DBT- MKB-YRFP project of Dr. Susobhan Mahanty (MK Bhan Fellow) in the laboratory of Prof Minhajuddin Sirajuddin, InStem Bangalore. We are looking for dedicated professionals who are result-oriented, can assimilate, analyze and communicate data effectively and are excellent team players capable of working in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary environment.

Monthly Emoluments : Rs. 35,000/m + HRA (Net Qualified) Rs. 28,000/m + HRA (Non-Net Qualified)

Qualification & Experience : Master degree in Life Sciences subjects or MVSc or Bachelor’s degree in engineering or technology (B.Tech.). Candidates should have cleared one National level test with valid certificate of eligibility OR have 2 years of R&D experience in academic institution or relevant industry.

Experience : Candidates with strong background in protein biochemistry, molecular biology and cell biology are encouraged to apply. Previous experience with protein purification will be an asset but not essential.

Job Description
Candidates are expected to have the ability to work independently, have good organizational skills, work in an interdisciplinary team, and manage multiple tasks. They will also be responsible for data documentation, validation and compilation, for preparation of manuscripts.

Tenure : Contractual appointment for 11 months, renewable based on requirement and review of progress and requirement of the Grant.
