Regional Centre for Biotechnology, is an Institution of national importance established by the Department of Biotechnology, Govt. of India, with regional and global partnerships synergizing with the programmes of UNESCO. The primary focus of RCB is to provide world class education, training and conduct innovative research at the interface of multiple disciplines to create high quality human resource in disciplinary and interdisciplinary areas of biotechnology in a globally competitive research milieu.

Title of Project : Identification of small molecule inhibitors of SARS-COV-2 Non-Structural Protein 1(NSP1) for the treatment of Covid-19.
Duration : Initially for 1 year and may be extended after reviewing the progress.
Principal Investigator : Dr. Anil Thakur, Associate Professor
Age limit : Below 28 years
Essential Qualifications : M.Sc / M.Tech in Life Sciences / Biotechnology / Molecular Biology/ Biochemistry / Microbiology / Bioinformatics / Genomics and any National level JRF eligibility test qualified such as NET, DBT etc.
Desirable Qualifications : Structure-based drug design, and molecular modeling. Good oral and written communication skills. A strong motivation for a career in research.
Fellowship : Rs. 31,000/- + 24% HRA per month
