Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission has announced 10 vacancies of Pharmacist under Jail Department, (Group 'C') by direct recruitment. Online applications are invited for selection. Interested candidates can apply online on Commission websitesssc.uk.gov.in by 28th February, 2025. Competitive examination in offline or online mode will be conducted by the Commission for selection of candidates. In respect of competitive examination, the date given in the first para is provisional. The revised notice of the date of the examination will be published separately from the Commission's website in daily press releases.

Educational Qualification:-
Mandatory Qualification :-
1. Must have passed Intermediate Examination from Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad, Uttarakhand, with Biology or Mathematics subject or any examination recognized as equivalent by Govt.
2. For direct recruitment to the posts in the service, it is necessary that the candidate holds a Diploma in Pharmacy from a recognized institution and is also registered with the State Pharmacy Council, Uttarakhand.
3. Have working knowledge of Hindi in Devanagari script,
(b) Preferred Qualifications:- Other things being equal, in case of direct recruitment of such candidates
Preference will be given to those who :-
1. Have served in the Territorial Army for a minimum period of two years, or
2. Have obtained "B" or "C" certificate of National Cadet Corps.
Age:-
The crucial date for calculation of age for all the above posts is 01 July, 2025. But that the candidates of Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe / Other Backward Class of Uttarakhand State are allowed 05 years relaxation in maximum age limit by Government Order No. 1399 dated 21 May 2005. Disabled candidates of Uttarakhand are allowed 10 years relaxation in maximum age limit for Group 'C' posts by Government Order No. 1244, dated 21 May, 2005. 05 years relaxation in maximum age limit is allowed for the candidates dependent on freedom fighters of Uttarakhand by Government Order No. 1244 dated 21 May, 2005. As per Notification No. 6/1/72 Personnel-2 dated 25th April, 1977, Ex-servicemen of Uttarakhand shall be allowed to deduct the period of their service in the Armed Forces from their actual age and if the resulting age does not exceed 03 years from the maximum age limit prescribed for the post/service for which he is seeking appointment, then he shall be deemed to fulfil the condition relating to higher age limit.
Nationality:- A candidate for direct recruitment to any post in the Service must be-
(a) a citizen of India or
(b) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before the 1st January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or
(c) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka or any East African country, Kenya, Uganda and the United Republic of Tanganyika and Zanzibar with the intention of permanently settling in India:
Provided that a candidate belonging to category (b) or (c) of the above category shall be required to obtain a certificate of eligibility from the State Government.
Provided that a candidate belonging to category (b) or (c) of the above category shall also be required to obtain a certificate of eligibility from the State Government. Provided also that if a candidate belongs to category (c) above, a certificate of eligibility shall not be issued for a period exceeding one year and such a candidate shall be retained in service beyond the period of one year subject to the condition that he has acquired the citizenship of India.
Note: A candidate in whose case a certificate of eligibility is necessary but the same has neither been issued nor has been refused may be admitted to an examination and may also be provisionally appointed subject to the condition that the necessary certificate is obtained by him or issued in his favour.
Character :- A candidate for direct recruitment to a post in the Service must have such character which makes him fit for employment in the Government Service. The Appointing Officer shall satisfy himself in this regard. Note:- Persons dismissed by the Union Government or a State Government or by any local authority or by any local corporation or body owned or controlled by the Union Government or a State Government shall not be eligible for appointment to any post in the Service. Persons convicted of any offence involving moral turpitude shall also not be eligible for appointment.
Fee : To fill the online application form, the candidate will first have to register online. Thereafter, after filling the complete application form, he will have to pay the application fee. Application fee can be paid online (Net Banking/Debit Card/Credit Card/UPI). If the fee is deposited after the last date prescribed for depositing the application fee, then the candidate will not be able to apply and the deposited fee will not be refunded to the candidate under any circumstances. The candidate must keep the receipt of the deposited fee / copy of the online application safe with him.
It is mandatory for the candidate to deposit the following application / examination fee :-
Unreserved (General) : Rs.300/- only
Economically Weaker Section (EWS) : Rs.150/- only
Uttarakhand Other Backward Class (OBC) : Rs.300/- only
Uttarakhand Scheduled Caste (SC) : Rs.150/- only
Uttarakhand Scheduled Tribe (ST) : Rs.150/- only
Uttarakhand Divyang : Rs.150/- only
Candidates should read the following important instructions and conditions before filling the application form:-
(1) Filling the application form carefully is an important task. Candidates should fill the application form only after carefully reading the minimum educational qualification prescribed for the post, validity of employment registration, categories and sub-categories of reservation etc., because verification of the online form is not possible without certificates / attachments. In case of any kind of error in this, the candidature can be cancelled even after the final selection.
(2) Candidates must mark the category / sub-category related to vertical and horizontal reservation in the online application form. In case reservation is not claimed, the benefit of reservation will not be allowed to the candidate at all as per the order dated 08.06.2010 passed by the Hon'ble High Court, Nainital in Writ Petition (Special Appeal) No. 79/2010 Radha Mittal vs. Uttarakhand Public Service Commission and the order passed by the Hon'ble Supreme Court in Special Leave Petition (Civil) No. (S) 19532/2010. It is necessary for the candidate to possess the certificate regarding reservation till the last date of submission of application form. At present, reservation has also been allowed for the candidates of economically weaker section. Candidates applying in this category should also obtain the relevant certificate by the last date of application.
(3) As per the decision taken by the Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission, if any candidate discloses incorrect facts in the application form which are not confirmed by valid certificates or if the application form is submitted on the basis of fake certificates (related to educational qualification/age/experience/reservation) and no candidate in the examination hall will copy from the answer sheet of any other candidate or get it copied or give any kind of improper assistance or attempt to give assistance or receive any assistance or attempt to receive such assistance, then such candidates can be debarred from all the examinations of the Commission, and FIR will also be registered against such candidates under the relevant law.
(4) Candidates applying for the examination should ensure that they fulfill all the eligibility conditions for admission to the examination. Their admission at all the stages of the examination will be completely provisional. Issuance of Admit Card to the candidate will not mean that his/her candidature has been finally confirmed by the Commission. If at any stage till the stage of document verification it is found that the candidate was not eligible or his/her application should have been rejected or it was not eligible to be accepted at the initial stage itself, then his/her candidature will be cancelled and even if he/she is finally selected, the Commission's recommendation will be withdrawn.
(5) After submitting the online application, no request for amendment or change in the entries made in the application such as qualification, category/sub-category related to reservation, age and examination centre or any other point will be accepted.
(6) Before filling the online application, read all the instructions given in the advertisement thoroughly and fill the online application form correctly. After submitting the online application form to the Commission, any change in the details/entries shown in the original application form will not be permissible under any circumstances.
(7) Do not wait for the last date to apply online, rather ensure to submit your online application form well in advance. In the last days of the application period, there is extra load on the website, due to which candidates may also be deprived of filling the application form.
(8) There is no need to submit the print out copy of the online application form or any certificate to the Commission's office at this stage of application.
(9) The entire selection process to be conducted by the Commission will be conducted under the relevant service rules of the post and the latest prevailing Acts / Rules / Manuals / Guidelines and the decisions taken by the Commission from time to time.
(10) The Commission does not give any advice to the candidates regarding their eligibility. So candidates should study the advertisement carefully and apply only when they are satisfied that they are eligible as per the conditions of the advertisement. At the time of record verification, the educational and other mandatory qualifications of the candidate will be checked in accordance with the provisions of the service rules. The application of the candidates who possess the qualification other than the rules will be cancelled.
(11) Arrangements are made to enter the name of the candidate, father's name and date of birth in accordance with the High School Certificate in the online application. Apart from this, it is mandatory for each candidate to give their separate mobile number and e-mail. If the candidate does not have his own mobile number, then he should enter the mobile numbers of his family members so that it is easy to receive messages and other information received from the commission immediately. Apart from the said certificate, no other record will be accepted for the date of birth.
(12) Admit cards for the written examination will not be sent by post but can be downloaded from the website of the Commission. In this regard, the candidates will be informed on the Commission's website and through press notes etc.
(13) The answer key / keys related to the objective type question papers will be circulated on the website of the Commission after the conclusion of the examination. Candidates can submit their objection/objection online regarding the question paper and related answers within the stipulated time after the release of the answer key. Objections received offline or after the prescribed period will not be entertained by the Commission. The questions on which no objection is received will be treated as correct and the result will be released.
