The Laboratory was established in 1941 as a research and production centre, known as Drug Research Laboratory of J&K State and was later taken over by Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR) of Govt. of India in December 1957 as Regional Research Laboratory, Jammu. In view of its core strength in natural products based drug discovery, the mandate of Institute was redefined in 2005 and its name changed to Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine (IIIM).
Post : Student Internship Fellow [01 Position]
Applications in the prescribed format [Google Form] are invited from eligible and interested candidates for the engagement of Student Internship Fellow on purely temporary basis under the Scientific Social Responsibility policy of DST-SERB under the project entitled “Development of Preclinical Candidates based on Targeting WNT/β-catenin Signalling Pathway (GAP- 3159), tenable at CSIR-Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine, Jammu
Essential Qualification(s) : Candidates in the 1st or 2nd year of their Post-Graduation (M.V.Sc./M.Tech Biotechnology/M.Sc. in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Zoology or related subjects) OR 4th year of Graduation (B.Tech./B.V.Sc.) from a recognized University are encouraged to apply.
Desirable : Research experience in cell culture activities and animal studies.
Duration of Internship : 2 Months (8 Weeks)
Monthly Emoluments : Rs. 5,000/- only
Important Instructions
1. The duration of Internship in 2 months only, which cannot be extended in any case.
2. The filled-in Google Form should be submitted by or before 18th February 2025 (Tuesday) up to 05:00 PM. Google/Application Forms submitted after the scheduled date and time shall not be entertained for the interview and summarily rejected.
3. All applicants/candidates will be required to upload in the Google Form a recommendation letter forwarded/endorsed by the Head of the Institution/Department where they are currently studying.
4. Only eligible candidates shall be accessed for the interview. The list of eligible candidates and the date for the interview will be displayed on the CSIR-IIIM Website, iiim.res.in, by the evening on 19th February 2025 (Wednesday). Eligible/shortlisted candidates shall attend the interview on MS Teams.
5. In case a large number of candidates apply, the Screening Committee may re-visit the screening criteria and shortlist the candidates for interview in proportion to the available vacancies.
6. Candidate has the option to interact in English/Hindi before the Selection Committee.
7. To avoid any inconvenience, only those candidates who strictly fulfil the eligibility criteria should apply.
8. Upon selection/empanelment, the original documents will be verified; if any discrepancy is found, the selection/empanelment shall stand cancelled.
9. Institute is not liable to provide accommodation to the selected candidate. However, upon the approval of the Competent Authority, accommodation on paid basis may be provided subject to availability.
