The Board of Governors is responsible for the main functions and overall supervision of activities. It comprises representatives of the Ministry of Education, Government of India, the U.G.C., the State Government, The Chancellor, the AICTE, The Hindustan Charity Trust and the Institute Faculty. Shri C.K. Birla is the Chairman of the Board of Governors while the Governor of the state of Jharkhand officiates as the Institute's Chancellor. Duration of the project : 03 years
Essential qualifications : BS 4 years programme / BPharm / MBBS / Integrated BS-MS / MSc / BE / BTech or equivalent degree, with 55% marks and passing of NET / GATE test.
Desirable field of specialization : M.Sc in Biotechnology and related disciplines. OR M.Tech Degree in Biotechnology/ Bioprocess engineering/ Chemical Engineering/ Biochemical Engineering
Age Limit : 28 Years
Age relaxation : The upper age limit is relax-able up to 5 years in the case of candidates belonging to scheduled castes/tribes/OBC, women and physically handicapped candidates.
Fellowship : Rs. 37,000/- per month. Additional 18% HRA would be provided if Hostel is not available. Rs 42,000/- per month (Third year as SRF) Additional 18 % HRA would be provided if Hostel is not available.

iii) The post is purely temporary in nature and subjected to availability of funds.
