Recruitment for Pharmacists under Medical and Health Depatment

As per instructions of the Director of Public Health and Family Welfare, AP Vijayawada vide 3rd cited, the notification for filling up of vacancies of Pharmacist Gr- II issued vide No .01/2024 Dt 08-02-2024 on Contract basis.

Educational (Academic, Professional, Technical) qualifications
a). Must Pass SSC or equivalent examination
b). Must Pass D.Pharm / B.Pharma or Pharma.D from recognized university duly registered in the AP Pharmacy council. In case of the candidate who possess both D.Pharm and B.Pharm , the maximum percentage secured in any of the above shall be considered

Age : Upper age limit is 42 years. Age will be reckoned as on 01- 02-2024 as per G.O.Ms.No.105 GA (Ser-A) dept., dated.27.09.2021 with relaxations as applicable. Relaxations will be as follows: -
1. For SC, ST, BC and EWS candidates: 05 (Five) years.
2. For Ex-service Men: 03 (Three) years in addition to the length of service in armed forces.
3. Fordifferently abled persons: 10 (Ten) years.
4. Maximum age limit is 52 years with all relaxations put together.

Fee : Applicant must enclose a demand draft towards application processing fee in favour of Regional Director Medical & Health Services, Zone-Ill as given below:(Example - DD in favour of Regional Director Medical & Health Services, Guntur - for Zone III applicants).
a) For OC candidates = Rs.500/-
b) For SC/ST/BC/Physically challenged candidates=Rs.300/-
Remunaration : Consolidation pay of Rs- 32,670/-PM.


Method of Appointment :- Appointment is purely on contract basis for a period of one year and will be renewed based on the performance. The candidate will have no right to claim for appointment on permanent roll in state health Department.

Method Of Selection
a. Total Marks: 100
b. 75% will be allocated for aggregate of marks obtained in all the years in qualifying examination or any other equivalent qualification.
c. Up to 10 marks @ 1.0 marks per completed year after acquiring requisite Qualification as mentioned in the pass certificate. Weightage will be reckoned up date of notification as per Govt. Memo No.4274/Dl/2013, HM&FW (Dl) Dept., Dt.10.07.2014.
d. The candidates claiming service weightage shall submit original contract service certificate issued by DM&HO/DCHS/Superintendents of GGH, Govt nursing institutions, Principals, Medical colleges along with copy of appointment orders. Applications without service certificate along with appointment orders as stated above will not be considered for service weightage. Service rendered in NGOs and outsourcing shall not be considered.
>. Weightage up to 15 marks for contract employment based on working area.
1. @ 2.5 mark per six months in Trible Area
2. @ 2.0 marks per six months in Rural Area
3. @ 1.0 Marks per six months in Urban Area
4. No weightage will be given for the services less than six months
e. Rule of Reservation as per AP State and Subordinate Service Rule and presidential orders governing the local status are applicable for selection.
f. The merit list will be valid for one year for filling of subsequent arising of vacancies from the date of issue of notification.
(Note: Certificates taken earlier are valid. If additional period of service is there, fresh certificate to that effect shall be obtained and enclosed)
g. Contract service will be reckoned up to the date of notification.


Self-attested copies of the certificates to be enclosed to the filled in application
i. Passport size photograph
ii. SSC or equivalent examination
iii. Intermediate examination or 10+2 examination
iv. D.Pharm / B.Pharm / Pharma.D
v. Marks memos of D.Pharm / B.Pharm & Pharma.D .
vi. Certificate of permanent Registration in Andhra Pradesh Pharmacy council should be enclosed. In case of fresh pass out, undertaking shall be given that registration certificate will be submitted before issue of appointment orders, if selected.
viii. Copy of caste /Community Certificate in case of SC /ST /BC/EWS (with categorization) issued by the Revenue authority viz, Tahsildar /MRO/RDO concerned. In the absence of proper caste certificate, the candidate will be treated as OC Candidate.
ix. Study Certificates from class IV to X from the school where the candidate studied. In case of private study local candidature certificate for that particular 7 years period preceding to the year of passing X class from competent authority in Form Appendix I certificate of residence prescribed vide Sub clause (ii) of clause (a) of para 7 of the Presidential Order (proforma is herewith enclosed). Candidates migrated from Telangana shall submit certificate of Local candidature as per GO No 132 & 133 dt: 13.06.2017. In the absence of the suitable certificate, the candidate will be considered as non-local and further action will be as per rules in force.
x. Latest EWS (Economically weaker sections) certificate issued by the competent authority in case of the EWS categories.
xi. Certificate of disability issued in SADAREM.
xii. Service certificate from the controlling officer concerned (DM&HO/DCHS/ Principals of GMCs / Superintendent of GGH / Any competent authority who appointed the applicant) for claiming weightage, in the absence of which the candidate will not be given service weightage (proforma is herewith enclosed).
xiii. Any other certificates as relevant and applicable.
xiv. Envelop cover affixed with 25 Rupees of Postal Stamps.
Note: - Candidates must submit clear, visible documents, failing which application will be summarily rejected. Applications
without the above documents will be summarily rejected.
Note: - All the above document must be self-attested duly before submission

Important information to candidates
1. If selected, he/she should stay at the bonafide Head Quarters compulsorily.
2. If selected and appointed he / she should abide by the Government rules in force regularly from time to time.
3. Candidates are advised to follow official website http: / /cfw.ap.nic.in from time to time for further information.
4. RDM&HS will scrutinize all the allocation submitted and publish the provisional list in the website for Objections. http: / /cfw.ap.nic.in Candidates can submit their objections if any to the respective RDM&HS by person after publication of provisional merit list
5. Every Objection will be attended and final merit list shall be published in the website
6. Further final list will be published.
7. Counselling will be conducted for allocation of place of posting and posting orders shall be issued to the selected pharmacist Gr-II.
8. All the candidates who are selected and appointed as Pharmacist Gr-II shall report the place of posting within one week from the date of issue of appointment orders

The candidate will anytime be subject to be terminated as per the terms and conditions of his /her employment, including the conduct discipline etc and such other rules and administrative orders that may be in force from time to time.

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for the post of Pharmacist Gr-II in health institutions of Zone III under the control of the Regional Director of Medical and Health Services, Zone III on contract basis.
a) Proforma of application will be available on the state portal from 10.00 AM on 09.02.2024 to 14.02.2024 up to 5.00 PM
b) Last Date for submission of Physical applications is 5.00 PM on 14.02.2024 filed in applications shall be submitted in the specified counters in O/o RDM&HS, Guntur. Candidates are advised to apply as soon as possible without waiting till last date to avoid last hour rush. They are further advised to obtain dated acknowledgement from the receiving authority, in proof of their submission of application.
c) The Merit List of this notification is valid for one year for the post of Pharmacist Gr-II.
d) The Merit List of this notification is valid till 31st January 2025 for the purpose of filling up of arising vacancies as per requirement of the Department.
e) Filled in Applications for the above posts are to be submitted at the office of the Regional Director of Medical and Health Services, Guntur on or before,14.02.2024 by 5.00 PM.
f) An acknowledgement shall be issued by this office of Regional Director of Medical and Health Services, Guntur on receipt of application immediately with check -slip of enclosures.
