NATIONAL BRAIN RESEARCH CENTRE (NBRC) invites application to the post of “Research Associate (Project)” under the project entitled “Artificial Intelligence Methods for Low Field MRI Enhancement” funded by Bill and Melinda Gates foundation (via King’s College London).

Essential Qualification : Ph.D. / MD /MS / MDS or equivalent degree with thesis in topics related to Neuroscience / Physics / Computer Science/ Any Branch of Engineering/ Mathematics Or Having three years of research, teaching and design and development experience after M.Sc./ MVSc. / M.Pharm ME / M. Tech in topics related to Biology /Neuroscience / Physics / Computer Science/ Any Branch of Engineering / Mathematics with at least one research paper in Science Citation Indexed (SCI) journal.
Desirable Qualification / Experience :
Excellent programming skills in MATLAB/ Python is must with evidence in developing coding toolboxes (e.g., GitHub/ BitBucket/ Blog links)
Ph.D. in Neuroscience / Image processing/ quantitative psychology. Knowledge of signal and image processing is must.
Duties : Will work on AI tool development for analyzing low resolution MRI images and bring it to 3T standards using previously collected 0.5T and 3.0 T data from same participants
Fellowship : Rs. 58,000/ Rs. 61000/ Rs. 67000 /- per month (As per DST Rules) for RA1 / RA2 / RA3 positions respectively.
Upper Age limit : Maximum for RA-I- 35 years, RA-II & RA-III – 40 years (as on the last date of receipt of application)
Project Investigator : Prof. Arpan Banerjee, Scientist VI, NBRC
Tenure : Appointment will be made on contract basis, initially for one year. Continuation of appointment will depend upon satisfactory performance during the appointment period and validity of the project. The post is co-terminus with the project.
Accommodation : Accommodation may be provided as per rules of NBRC, subject to availability.

1. No TA/DA will be payable to the candidates for attending the interview
2. Only candidates who are shortlisted will be called for an interview, and on successful performance be placed on either RA1 / RA2 / RA3 upon recommendation from appropriate committees of NBRC and under the discretion of the committee based on scrutiny of qualifications, experience and performance in the interview.
