Applications are invited for ONE position of PhD Scholar on project, “To establish low-cost plant-based highly efficient breakthrough technology TRBO protein expression system for oral delivery of IL-22 as a putative therapeutic protein to treat acute and chronic renal injury” under the supervision of Prof. Gireesha T M and Prof. Onkar Kulkarni.
Scope of work : Interdisciplinary research involving plant biotechnology with pharmaceutical applications.
Essential Qualification : Master’s degree with a minimum of 65% marks in the areas of Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Pharmacy or allied Life Sciences
Desirable Qualification : Prior research experience with technical expertise on cloning, PCR, qPCR, DNA and protein purification and western blot analysis, experience in handling plants/mouse models.
Fellowship : Rs. 37,000 - Rs. 42,000 per month (based on the year of PhD and performance)
