NIPER Ahmedabad was initiated with three specializations Biotechnology, Natural Products and Pharmaceutics and over the period of time three more specializations Pharmaceutical Analysis, Medicinal Chemistry and Pharmacology and Toxicology were added in 2010. Subsequently in 2011, to cater the needs of Medical device industry in India, another feather was added to the cap of NIPER Ahmedabad in the form of specialization in Medical Devices.

Applications are invited for one temporary post of one Junior Research Fellow (JRF) position in DST-SERB funded project entitled “Alpha V Beta 3 Integrin Aspired Vesicular Nanohybrids Based Neoadjuvant Therapy For Locally Advanced Colon Cancer” tenable at Department of Pharmaceutics, NIPER- Ahmedabad. The position is Initially for period of one year extendable to further one year subject to continuation of the project and satisfactory performance of the candidate. The position will be co-terminus with the project.

Engagement Period (JRF) : Initially for a period of one year extendable to further one year subject to continuation of the project and satisfactory performance of the candidate.
Salary : Rs.31000/ month + HRA as applicable
Qualification Essential Qualification :
• M.Pharm/ MS Pharm/ MSc or Equivalent with specialization in Pharmaceutics/ formulation development or equivalent with specialization in Pharmacy/ Life sciences
• PG degree with 60% marks for GN/OBC (55% for SC/ST/PH) from UGC recognized University/ Institute, autonomous bodies NIPER/IITs/IISER.
• Publications (at least one) in standard refereed journals.
Desired qualification :
• GATE / CSIR / UGC NET / GPAT qualified. Work experience Essential work experience: a) Prior experience in formulation of novel drug delivery systems, animal tissue culture, molecular biology and biochemistry techniques. Desired work experience: a) Previous experience in testing of formulations on cancer cell lines.
