The Central University of Punjab, has been established in 2009 along with other new Central Universities by an Act of Parliament (No 25, of 2009). Central University has completed a remarkable journey of 12 years. University is accredited ‘A’ grade in 2016 in first accreditation cycle by NAAC and has secured 95th, 87th and 84th rank in the year 2019, 2020 and 2021 respectively in the University category of NIRF. It is credited with highest per capita research funding. Project Title : "To Investigate the Role of Endocannabinoids in Gut-Brain Axis and Differential Role of Cannabinoid Receptors in the Development of Metabolic Dysfunction”
Principal Investigator : Dr. Rahul Deshmukh Professor, Department of Pharmacology Central University of Punjab,Village Ghudda, Bathinda, PUNJAB-151401
Duration : Initially for a period of 6 months, further extendable up to 3 years based on satisfactory work & conduct of the project.
Emoluments : As per the ICMR/ University rules[Rs.28000+ HRA (9%) per month] for a period of two years and 5% increment in the third year.
Age : Below 35 years on date of interview (Relaxation in age is permissible for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates as per Government of India rules)
Essential Qualification : B.Pharmacy degree and Master degree [M.Pharm / M.S. (Pharm] with minimum of 60% marks [55% for SC / ST / OBC (NCL/PWD] from a recognized Indian or Foreign University.
Desirable Qualification : Experience in surgery and molecular biology techniques will be preferred.
