JSS Academy of Higher Education & Research, formerly known as JSS University, is a Deemed to be University located in Mysuru, Karnataka. It was established in 2008 under Section 3 of the UGC Act 1956 and is part of JSS Mahavidyapeetha, which runs a variety of educational institutions. This deemed-to-be university is recognized by Ministry of Education and accredited by NAAC with A+ Grade (3.48 CGPA). JSS AHER has been graded as Category-I Deemed-to-be University by UGC.
Post : Project Research Scientist - I (Non- Medical)
Applications are invited for the post of Project Research Scientist - I to work under ICMR funded Adhoc Project titled “In vitro and In vivo assessment of the therapeutic potential of Simarouba glauca leaf extract for the treatment of Oral Squamous Cell Carcinoma (OSCC)”
Salary : Rs. 56,000/- + 18% HRA pm
Essential Qualification : PhD in / Pharmacology / Biochemistry / Biotechnology / Molecular Biology with research experience in the relevant area with at least two first author research publications. And also Hands-on experience in cell culture, Phyto pharmacy and animal (mice) handling.
Duration : Three years*
*Appointment will be renewed based on the performance every year and availability of funds.
Age : 35 (relaxation as per government norms)

3. Mere fulfilling the essential qualification/experience does not guarantee for selection.
4. Canvassing in any form will be a disqualification.
5. No TA/DA will be paid either for attending the interview or joining the post.
6. Persons already in regular time scale service under any Government Department / Organizations are not eligible.
7. It may be mentioned here that incomplete applications, application not submitted in prescribed format and application without supportive documents asked for shall be summarily rejected.
