The Laboratory was established in 1941 as a research and production centre, known as Drug Research Laboratory of J&K State and was later taken over by Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR) of Govt. of India in December 1957 as Regional Research Laboratory, Jammu. In view of its core strength in natural products based drug discovery, the mandate of Institute was redefined in 2005 and its name changed to Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine (IIIM).

Desirable : One year research experience in the following areas will be preferred. i) Working experience in microbiology, molecular biology & BSL-3 experiments will be preferred. ii) Experience in in- vitro & in-vivo antimicrobial efficacy studies with proficiency in bacterial pathogens handling will be preferred. iii) Experience in molecule synthesis and characterization will be preferred. iv) Proficiency in Software handling like Graph Pad Prism, Chemdraw, Autodock Vina, Discovery Studio, Biorender will be preferred.

Project : Combating Fluoroquinolone- Resistant in MRSA by Novel Antistaphylococc al Isatin-di Indolyl Derivatives
The tenure of engagement for position code 1 and 3 shall be co-terminus with the projects. However, the offers of engagement for these posts shall be issued initially for a period of one year or till the tenure of the project, whichever is earlier.
Important Instructions

Selection Procedure
1. Application for these positions can be filled online using the Google Forms link
2. Filled in Google Form should be submitted by or before 27.02.2024 up to 5:00 pm
3. Application Forms submitted after the scheduled date and time i.e. 27.02.2024 up to 5:00 pm shall not be entertained for the Interview.
4. All applicants for position code 2 will be required to bring a recommendation letter forwarded/endorsed by the head of the institute/department where they are currently studying.
5. Only eligible candidates shall be assessed for the interview. The list of eligible candidates and date for Offline Interview will be displayed on CSIR-IIIM Website iiim.res.in by evening on 29.02.2024 up to 5:00 pm. The venue of the interview shall be Board Room, CSIR-IIIM, Jammu.
6. If a large number of candidates apply, the screening committee may re-visit the screening criteria and shortlist the candidates for interview in proportion to the available vacancies.
7. Candidate has the option to interact in English/Hindi before the selection committee.
8. To avoid any inconvenience, only those candidates who strictly fulfill the eligibility criteria and possess the relevant degrees in the aforesaid subjects should apply for online application through Google Form.
9. In case the final certificates reflect CGPA/SGPA/OGPA Grades etc., the candidate should convert the same into equivalent percentage as per the approved formula of the University in the Google Form and a copy of such conversion formula must be attached along with the Google Form.
10. Upon selection/empanelment, the original documents including essential qualification, DOB, caste and age relaxation certificates will be verified, if any discrepancy is found, the selection/empanelment shall stand cancelled.
11. It is clarified that the engagement of all project staff in different projects either in the same Lab/Instt. or different Lab/Instt. of CSIR taken together shall not exceed 5 years in any case. If at later stage any fudging/fraud, in this regard, is found, legal action as warranted under rules shall be taken against the wrongdoer. Candidates are required to submit undertaking (attached with Google Form) in this regard.
