The Institute’s research focus is on animal genetics and genomics, transgenesis, stem cell & its applications, reproductive biotechnology, infectious diseases, nanotechnology, bioinformatics and Nutrigenomics.

Applications are invited from suitable candidates for filling up the following position at National Institute of Animal Biotechnology (NIAB), Hyderabad.

Project Title : Development of Next Generation Multi-Epitope Vaccine against Leptospirosis”.
PI Dr. Syed M. Faisal.

Project Scientist-C (Non-Medical) position (1 Position)
Tenable upto : One year, likely to extended based on performance and co-terminus with the duration of the project (February, 2027).
Eligibility : 1st Class Post Graduate/Master’s Degree/M.Tech in Life Sciences (Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Etc.) including the Integrated PG degree from a recognized university with three years’ experience or PhD. OR 2nd Class Post Graduate / Master’s Degree / M.Tech in Life Sciences (Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Etc.) including the Integrated PG degree from a recognized university with Ph. D degree and three-year experience.
Experience : A candidate with experience in molecular biology, immunology techniques, animal (mice, hamsters) handling is desirable. Candidates with prior experience with working on Leptospira infection model will be preferred.
Fellowship amount : Rs.67000 + 27 % HRA (If applicable)
Age : 40 years (Relaxation is admissible in case of SC/ST/OBC candidates as per Government instructions).

Project Technical Support-1 (1 Position)
Tenable upto : One year, likely to extended based on performance and co-terminus with the duration of the project (February, 2027)
Eligibility : High School (10th) plus Diploma (ML/DMLT/ITI) with 2 years’ experience in lab or field work.
Experience : A candidate with 2 years’ experience in Laboratory or field work. Candidate having experience in handling animals (mice, goat) is desirable. Candidates with experience working as technical staff in a research laboratory will be preferred.
Fellowship amount : Rs. 18000 + 27% HRA (If applicable)
Age : 28 years (Relaxation is admissible in the case of SC/ST/OBC candidates as per Government instructions)
