The National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER) is the first Institute of its kind to be set up at in the State of Bihar in the year 2007. It is an autonomous institution of national importance, established under the aegis of Department of Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, Govt. of India under NIPER Act 1998 at Hajipur in Vaishali District of Bihar. It is a centre of excellence for higher education, research and development in pharmaceutical sciences, conceived to provide leadership in pharmaceutical sciences and other related areas.

Project Title : Potency Optimization of 4-Oxoazetidine Scaffolds ss Dual Specific Polyphosphate Kinase Inhibitors for Multi-Drug Resistant Tuberculosis
Vacancy : 01 (One) - UR (Unreserved)
Emoluments : Rs. 56,000/- + HRA* Initial appointment will be for 1 year, which is extendable up to 3 years based on performance only. The position is temporary and co-terminus with the project.
Age Limit : 35 years on the date of 12.02.2024
Minimum Qualification : The candidate must have First class Post Graduate Degree or Second Class Post Graduate Degree with PhD in Chemistry or Medicinal/Pharmaceutical/Process Chemistry area.
Desirable Qualifications : The candidate should have 1-2 years experience in organic synthesis, especially in asymmetric synthesis and multistep synthesis. Candidate must have experience in modern characterization techniques including chromatography, spectroscopy (UV, IR, NMR, HRMS etc.). Preference will be given to the candidates having experience in multistep synthesis, in silico docking and publication record in peer-reviewed journals. Previous experience in industry would be added advantage.
