NIAB, an autonomous institute under the aegis of the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India, is aimed to harness novel and emerging biotechnologies and create knowledge in the cutting edge areas for improving animal health and productivity. The Institute’s research focus is on animal genetics and genomics, transgenesis, stem cell & its applications, reproductive biotechnology, infectious diseases, nanotechnology, bioinformatics and Nutrigenomics.
Post : Project Associate-I (1 Position)
Applications are invited from suitable candidates for filling up the following position at National Institute of Animal Biotechnology (NIAB), Hyderabad.
Project Title : Evaluation of anticancer potency of accessory viral protein, W, of Newcastle disease virus”.
PI : Dr. Madhuri Subbiah.
Tenable upto : 01 year
Eligibility : Post Graduate degree in professional courses or Post Graduate Degree in Life Sciences (Biotechnology / Biochemistry / Microbiology).
Experience : Candidates having prior experience in molecular techniques involving nucleic acid isolation, quantification, amplification and with mammalian cell culture and virus culturing experiences will be preferred
Fellowship amount : (i) 31,000/- + HRA to scholars who are selected through (a) National Eligibility Tests – CSIR UGC NET including Lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE (b) A selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions (ii) 25,000/- + HRA for others eligible but who don’t fall under (i) above
Age : 35 years
