The origins of the Advanced Centre for Treatment, Research and Education in Cancer (ACTREC) are rooted in the Indian Cancer Research Centre (ICRC), which was established in 1952 in Parel, Mumbai, under the purview of the Ministry of Health, Government of India. In 1966, ICRC was renamed the Cancer Research Institute (CRI) and amalgamated with the Tata Memorial Hospital (TMH), creating the first comprehensive cancer centre in India - the Tata Memorial Centre (TMC), an autonomous grant-in-aid institution of the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE), Government of India.

Project : “Crosstalk between gamma-delta T cells and tumor associated macrophages in governing immunosuppression in ovarian cancer”-Cancer Immune-environment and Therapeutics Lab- Principal Investigator: Dr. Subir Biswas
Educational Qualification & Experience : *MSc / MTech in Biotechnology, Microbiology, Molecular Biology with any national level examination (NET, ICMR, DBT, GATE etc.) qualified.
Experience: - Candidates with previous hands-on experience working with animal models and/or mammalian cell culture, and flow cytometry for at least six months, will be given preference.
*M.Sc. degree having duration of one-year course will not be considered. Selected candidate will have to join at the earliest; hence result-awaited candidates will not be eligible to apply for the post.
Consolidated Salary : Rs. 38,440/- per month. (Rs. 31,000/-+24%HRA) p.m.
Duration : Six months, extendable up to 2 years. The work progress of candidate will be monitored and extension after 6 months.
Eligible Candidates may attend the walk in interview on Friday, 15th March, 2024 in Meeting Room II, 3rd Floor, Khanolkar Shodhika, ACTREC along with recent CV, original and attested copies of all certificates and testimonials with recent passport size photograph and ID proof.
