Post : Research Associate – I (RA-1)
Applications are invited for the position of Research Associate – I (RA-1) for the design of a system that helps neurosurgeons to identify the epileptic foci precisely, and perform resection of foci to make epileptic patients seizure-free. This is an opportunity to work in ICMR- DHR – GIA-funded project titled Development of MEG-MRI coregistration tool with automatic landmarks detection for the magnetic source imaging. Registration of MEG with MRI needs the common reference points in both modalities. In MEG-MRI registration the MEG coordinates are mapped into MRI coordinates. This will lead to viewing the functional information (acquired from MEG) and anatomical information (acquired from MRI) in the same frame with good Spatio-temporal resolution. This interdisciplinary research will be conducted at the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Manipal Institute of technology and Department of Neurology, National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences, Bangalore.
Qualification
Essential : Ph.D/ MD/ MS/ MDS or equivalent degree or having three years of teaching and design and development experience after MVSC / MPharm / ME / MTech with at least one research paper in SCI journal
Desirable : Preference will be given to candidates with the above qualification and having work experience in signal/image processing, statistics.
Requirements : Talented and passionate candidates with an ability to work in a multidisciplinary team. Strong programming skills with hands on experience in developing health care applications.
Remuneration : Rs 47000 + (8% HRA) = Rs 50760 per month
Duration : 36 Months
