NBRC invites application for the post of Clinical Trial Specialist under NBRC Core Funds for Clinical Trial

National Brain Research Centre is a specialized deemed to be university dedicated to research in the frontier areas of neuroscience and brain function in health and disease. Scientists and students of NBRC come from diverse academic backgrounds and use multidisciplinary approaches to understand the complex processes that form the basis of brain mechanisms. Located over a sprawling campus in the foothills of the Aravali range in Manesar, Haryana, NBRC is an autonomous institute of Department of Biotechnology, Government of India.

Post : Clinical Trial Specialist (Project)

Applications are invited for the position of Clinical Trial Specialist (Project) in the laboratory of Prof. Pravat K. Mandal at National Brain Research Centre, Manesar, India. The primary scientific interest of the lab is to identify early in vivo biomarkers for neurodegenerative disorders, particularly Alzheimer’s disease. The lab uses multi-modal neuroimaging techniques, i.e. magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), functional MRI (fMRI), and magnetic resonance spectroscopy (MRS) to investigate the associated structural, functional, and neurochemical brain alterations, respectively. We have developed Indian Brain template, BRAHMA and Big data analytics “Bharat” for early diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease.

Essential qualification
• Ph.D. in Science or Master’s Degree in Engineering or Technology from a recognized University or equivalent. (minimum 60% marks in Master’s degree in Science or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology)
• Three years’ experience in research and development in Industrial and Academics Institutions or Science and Technology Organisation and Scientific activities and service

Desirable experience
• Prior hands on experience in clinical studies.
• Strong academic record and clear evidence of research focus.
• Excellent scientific communication and writing skills.
• Ability to independently lead research project.

• Curriculum vitae including the following:
* Employment History.
* Research Experience – title, objective and brief description of the project.
* Include your published/accepted research publications. Please specify the publication details, your contribution as an author to multi-authored publications, plus the standing of the journal.
• Statement of purpose (minimum 250 words) indicating your research interests and experience:
* Prepare your statement of objectives and goals in whatever form clearly presents your views. Include as far as you can, your particular interests and show how your background supports these interests. Please discuss how your academic and work experience to date qualifies you for this position.

Job Profile
• Explain clinical trial to patients and obtain consent
• Train staff on objectives of each study
• Create necessary source paperwork for patients
• Schedule all patient appointments with appropriate professionals
• Collect lab results and work with investigators to review their viability
• Attend conferences and learn new safety protocol guidelines
• Research new GCP changes and adjust procedures as needed

Necessary Skills & Qualifications :

Emoluments :  Rs 70,000/- p.m. (consolidated) (No other allowances are applicable)

Age limit :  Maximum 40 years (as on the date of receipt of application)

Project Investigator :  Prof. Pravat K. Mandal, Scientist VII, NBRC

Tenure : The tenure will be initially for a period of one year extendable another year on performance review. The post is co-terminus with the project.

Accommodation : Accommodation may be provided as per rules of NBRC, subject to availability.

1. No TA/DA will be payable to the candidates for attending the interview
2. Only candidates who are shortlisted will be called for interview.
