During that time with the help and support of Dr. B.C. Roy an eminet physician and then chief minister of West Bengal, the foundation of the present day Chittaranjan Cancer Hospital(CCH) was laid.The hospital was formally inaugurated by Prof. Madam J.Curie in January 2,1950 and named after Deshbandhu Chittaranjan Das, as a tribute to and in the acknowledgment of the enormous donation of his land and property for the cause.Initially this was a Cancer treatment centre, which gradually expanded its activities in basic and clinical research with the assistance from goverment funding organzations.This eventually led to the founding of the Chittaranjan National Cancer Research Centre (CNCRC),funded by the Goverment of India in 1957, which was committed to basic research on cancer.

Name of the project : Exosome mediated co-delivery of natural flavonoid Orientin and 5-Fluorouracil for targeting colorectal cancer stem cells involved in angiogenic progression.
Essential Qualification : (i) M.Sc in Natural or Agricultural Sciences or Bachelors degree in Engineering or Technology or Medicine from a recognized University or equivalent; and
(ii) 2 years’ experience in research and Development in industrial and Academic Institutions or Science and Technology organizations and scientific activities and services.
OR
(i) Doctoral degree in Science / Engineering / Pharma from a recognized University or equivalent.
Duration : Three years The position is purely temporary, with an initial appointment for one year, which is extendable up to three years, solely based on performance. The position is co-terminus with the completion of the project.
Fellowship : Rs. 35000/- + 24% HRA
Age limits : 35 years as on the date of publication of the advertisement (relaxable for SC/ST/OBC/Women/Physically Handicapped for five years as per Govt. of India rules subject to production of suitable certificates from the competent authority). Age can be relaxed if appropriate expertise to work with the project.
