BITS Pilani Goa Campus started functioning in August 2004 and was formally inaugurated by Hon'ble Prime Minster of India, Dr. Manmohan Singh on May 5, 2006.  The Campus is spread over an area os 180 acres and the location of the campus is unique with respect to the scenic beauty and panoramic view of picturesque surrounding with Zuari river, hillocks, waterways and forest.

Applications are invited for the position of JRF in the Department of Chemistry at BITS Pilani, K. K. Birla Goa Campus, Goa for a BRNS sponsored research project titled “A polydiacetylene-based fluorescent sensor for the detection of arsenic species and uranyl ion in water by conventional and nuclear analytical methods (58/14/28/2019-BRNS/11019).

Broad area of Research : Organic and analytical chemistry

Duration of the project : Three years

Fellowship Amount (Rs.) : 31,000/- +HRA as per eligibility

Qualification : First Class in M.Sc. (chemistry) / M.Pharm. (Pharmaceutical Chemistry) / equivalent degree. NET-LS / valid GATE qualification is desirable and will be given precedence.

Principal collaborator : Dr. Raghunath Acharya (BARC, Mumbai)
