National Research Centre on Equines is a premier institute established under the aegis of Indian Council of Agricultural Research for conducting research on equine health and production. The importance of equines in India is well known. India possesses 1.17 million equines. Major population of equidae comprising donkeys, mules and ponies that provide livelihood to the rural societies living in arid, semi-arid and hilly regions, specially in the foot hills of Himalayas, through transport and draught where as remaining small population of equines is used in army, police, border security force, racing industry and sports.

Essential Qualifications:
Ph.D or equivalent degree in Biomedical Science/ Bioinformatic/ Biotechnology/ Life Sciences/ Biochemistry / Microbiology/ Computational Biology or having 3 years of research, teaching and design and development experience after MVSc / M.Pharm / M.Tech in following subject Bio-medical Science/ Bioinformatic/ Biotechnology / Life Sciences / Biochemistry / Microbiology / Computational Biology with at least one research paper in Science Citation Indexed (SCI) journal.
Emoluments: Rs.36,000/- +10% HRA P.M
The engagement in the project is purely time bound, non regular and co-terminus with the expiry of the period of the concerned project. The selected candidate would have no legal right to claim for regularization appointment by absorption or otherwise against any regular post or any further contractual engagement on termination of the project. Initially the selection will be made for one year and will be extendable based on the performance of the candidate or till termination of the project/scheme whichever is earlier.
The appointment of selected candidate will be subject to the condition that he/she is declared medically fit for service by the prescribed medical authority.

The upper age limit for Research Associate is 40 years for men and 45 years for women as on the date of interview. Age limit is relaxable by 5 years in case of SC/ST and 3 years in case of OBC.
Interested candidates fulfilling the eligibility may appear for the Walk-in-interview on the above mentioned date. They should bring their application giving all curriculum vitae with attested copies of testimonials along with original documents and one pass port size photograph at the time of interview. Candidate should apply separately for each position(s)/project.
No TA / DA will be paid to the candidates for attending the interview.
