Post : Junior Research Fellow

Applications are invited on plain paper along with complete Bio-data, self attested copies of all mark sheets and certificates for the post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) for three years in a DBT supported project entitled "Identification of gene responsible for degradation of poly (ethylene terephthalate) in Ideonella sakaiensis" sanctioned to Dr. Ashish Kumar Singh (Principal Investigator), Assistant Professor, School of Biochemical Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology (BHU), Varanasi-221005, India.

The candidates having master degree (M.Sc. or M.Tech.) with 55% marks in subject such as Biochemical Engineering, microbiology/ biochemistry/ biotechnology/human genetics or life sciences are eligible to apply. The students have qualified NET or GATE and having experience in the relevant field would be given preference.

The upper age of candidate would be 28 years but relaxation may be given as per GOI rules for SC/ST/PH/female.

Interested candidates may submit their applications to Dr. Ashish Kumar Singh, (Principal Investigator) within 21 days of advertisement either by e-mail (aksingh.bce@iitbhu.ac.in) or by registered post. The short listed candidates would be intimated and called for interview.

No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview. The selected candidate would receive a monthly stipend of Rs 25,000/ and HRA as per DBT norms if applicable. This is purely temporary position and co-terminus with the project or may be terminated at any time if research performance is not satisfactory.
