National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER) is the first national level institute in pharmaceutical sciences with a proclaimed objective of becoming a centre of excellence for advanced studies and research in pharmaceutical sciences. The Government of India has declared NIPER as an 'Institute of National Importance'. It is an autonomous body set up under the aegis of Department of Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, Government of India. The Institute is conceived to provide leadership in pharmaceutical sciences and related areas not only within the country, but also to the countries in South East Asia, South Asia and Africa. NIPER is a member of Association of Indian Universities and Association of Commonwealth Universities.
Post: Research Fellow (RA/SRF)
Applications are invited for a position of Research Fellow (RA/SRF) under a CSIR funded project entitled “Natural product inspired novel heterocyclic antitubulin anticancer agents: Design, synthesis and bio-evaluation studies” (GP-405) under Dr Sankar K. Guchhait (PI), Associate Professor, Department of Medicinal Chemistry.
Salary: As per the CSIR for designation of RA or SRF
Essential qualifications: In Medicinal Chemistry/Organic Chemistry/Process Chemistry, the essential qualifications and required research experience would be as per the CSIR
Age limit: As per CSIR.
The above position is purely temporary initially for one year, extendable based on performance satisfactory to PI and as per the CSIR, and co-terminus with the duration of the project.
Interested candidates may appear the walk-in- interview on 27th February, 2015 (Friday) at 3.00 PM (Reporting time) in Room B-115, B-Block (Medicinal Chemistry), NIPER, S.A.S. Nagar. Candidates should bring an application on plain paper addressing to the Director, NIPER with attention Dr. Sankar K. Guchhait, attached with self-signed CV and a set of photocopies of certificates. Candidates should also provide original certificates for verification during interview.
Application should be accompanied by a demand draft for Rs. 50/- (Rs. 25/- for SC/ST/PH) in favour of “Director, NIPER”, drawn on any scheduled bank payable at Mohali/Chandigarh. TA/DA will not be paid for attending the interview.
