Institute of Bioresources and Sustainable Development (IBSD), Imphal, a research institute under Department of Biotechnology, Govt. of India, invites applications from the suitable candidates for the following positions for its intra and extramural research projects. Prescribed application format is available at the Institute’s website or from the receptionist of the Institute. Post: Research Associate, Junior Research Fellow
Available Positions and consolidated pay: 2 (two) Research Associate.
Rs. 22,000/- p.m. + 10% HRA for 1st , 2nd & 3rd year
Title of the Project: Extramural project:
Allele Mining for Stress Resistance in Tea.
Duration: 3 (three) years or till the completion of the project whichever is earlier.
Educational Qualification: M.Sc. Biotechnology, Botany, Life Science preferably with Ph.D Awarded or Ph.D submitted with working experience.
The positions are purely temporary and co- terminus with the project. The selected candidate shall not claim for regular appointment either to IBSD, Imphal, RCIBSD, Sikkim or DBT, New Delhi.
Available Positions and consolidated pay: 2 (two) Junior Research Fellow
Rs. 16,000/- p.m. + 10% HRA
Title of the Project: Intramural project:
Functional Genomic Analysis of Aconitine and Berberine Production
Educational Qualification: M.Sc. Biotechnology/Botany/Life Science with NET / GATE (above 90%)
The appointment is purely on contractual basis initially for 1 year and selected candidates shall not claim for regular appointment either to IBSD, Imphal, RCIBSD, Sikkim or DBT, New Delhi.
1. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
2. The details of the advertisement is available in the Institute’s website (ibsd.gov.in) or as hard copy from the receptionist of the Institute.
3. The name of the position and title of the project applied should be clearly written on the front of the envelope.
4. Application form must accompany attested copies of certificates and marksheets which are essential for preliminary screening. Failure to enclose these documents with application will result in direct rejection of the application form.
5. The upper age limit for applying award of Research Associate shall be 35 years which is relaxed upto 5 years in case of candidates belonging to SC/ ST, Women, Physically Challenged and OBCs. The upper age limit of JRF shall be 28 years and age relaxation shall be as above.
