Vacancy for M.Pharm, MSc, MTech as Project Associate at IMTech

Established in 1984, the Institute of Microbial Technology (IMTech) is one among the chain of 37 national laboratories, 6 units and 39 outreach centres of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research. Set-up to be a fore-runner in the niche domain of microbial biotechnology, the Institute in its initial years functioned from a start-up laboratory that provided a truly world-class R&D ambience in an area of over 10,000 sq. ft. to its researchers.

Project titled : “Evaluation of Rationally Designed Influenza Vaccines”

Essential Qualification : (i) Masters / Integrated Masters in Natural or Agricultural or Pharmaceutical Sciences / MVSc/ Animal Sciences OR Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology or Medicine from a recognized University or equivalent And 2 years experience in Research and Development in Industrial and Academic Institutions or Science and Technology Organizations and Scientific activities and services. OR (ii) Masters/Integrated Masters in Engineering or Technology from a recognized University.

Desirable : Candidates with experience in
i) Pichia pastoris/fungal-based protein expression or
ii) Experience in handling mammalian cell culture or
iii) Genome editing using CRISPR-Cas9 method or
iv) Genome editing using lentiviral transduction method.

Upper Age limit (years) : 35
Relaxation in the age limit for the candidates belonging to the category of SC/ST/PwBD/Women and the category of OBC shall be 05 years and 03 years respectively.

Monthly Emoluments : (i) Rs.35,000/- +HRA for those candidates who have qualified CSIR-UGC/ICAR/ICMR NET incl. lectureship/assistant professorship or GATE. OR Those who have qualified National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments like DBT/DST or equivalent and/or their Agencies/Institutions.
(ii) Rs.28,000/- +HRA for others who do not fall under (i) above
