Post : JRF under DST-SERB CRG Project
A “Walk-in-Interview” for engagement of One Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in DST-SERB funded Core Research Grant (CRG) project entitled “Identification of quorum-sensing inhibitory, anti-biofilm and anti-virulence plant essential oils and components for developing novel intervention against drug-resistant microbes”. The engagement is purely temporary on contractual basis and co- terminus with the project. The engagement will be liable for termination at any time in case of unsatisfactory performance of the candidate. There will be no provision of absorption /re- employment in DST, ICAR or ICAR-IVRI on termination of the project.
Essential Qualification : Post Graduate degree in Basic Sciences OR Graduate / Post Graduate degree in professional course selected through a process described through any one of the following: a. Scholars who are selected through National Eligibility Tests- CSIR-UGC NET including lecturership (Assistant Professorship) and GATE.
b. The selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MoE, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER, NISER etc.
Desirable Qualification : Working experience of microbiological techniques, molecular biology techniques, and/or cell culture techniques. Knowledge of computer applications (web-search, data compilation), report writing, manuscript preparation etc. and publications in journals of national and international repute.
Emoluments : Rs. 37,000/- PM + HRA (as per Central Govt. norms)
Age : 30 years for male and 35 years for females with relaxation to SC/ST and OBC as per rules.
Duration of the Project : Up to 17 June, 2025
Selection Procedure : A walk in Interview shall be conducted at Division of Biological Products, ICAR-IVRI by a Selection Committee constituted as per norms. Candidates fulfilling required qualification may appear directly for “Walk-in-Interview” scheduled on 12 December, 2024 from 11:00 AM onwards. Candidates appearing for interview should reach to the Division of Biological Products, ICAR-IVRI, Izatnagar (Bareilly) by 10.45 AM. Candidates attending interview should bring bio-data (mentioning contact details, educational qualifications and experience), one self-attested photocopy of all the certificates (high school, intermediate, degree certificates, NET/GATE qualification with validity, publications etc) along with their original certificates and two passport size photographs. Note : No TA/DA will be paid for appearing in the interview and no separate interview letter will be issued.
