The institute was established in the year 2013. Currently, AINN is the only institute in the country to have started a B.Sc. (Honors) program in Neurosciences. It is also running M.Sc. and Ph.D. programs. Since the year of its inception, the student strength has been increasing exponentially. The institute harbors excellent, internationally trained faculty with research expertise in various areas of Neuroscience and Neuropsychology including sleep biology, neurobiology of obesity and aging, neurodevelopmental biology, neurological disorders like Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s, Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, schizophrenia etc. The faculty are actively engaged in teaching using modern tools and carrying out cutting – edge research. All the classrooms of AINN are air-conditioned and are well -equipped with modern facilities. AlNN alumni are currently studying in organizations of national and international repute.

Name of Project : Immune-mediated Rescue of Neurodevelopmental Anomalies in Mice with a Disrupted Choroid Plexus
Name of Sponsoring Agency : Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR)
Duration of the Position : Three Years
Fellowship / Monthly Compensation : Rs. 37,000/- pm in First & Second years Rs. 42000/- pm in 3rd year upon upgradation. The candidate will be appointed on an annual basis. The extension would be based on the performance of the candidate and is co terminus with the project duration.
Essential Qualifications : B.S. 4 years programme / B.Pharm. / MBBS / Integrated BS-MS/MSc/BE/BTech or equivalent degree, with 55% marks and passing of NET/GATE test.
Desirable Qualifications : Candidates with the essential qualification and hands-on experience in mice handling and histology, microscopy and immunology are encouraged to apply. In addition, candidates having studied papers in any branch of neuroscience and immunology would be preferred.
Age Limit : 28 Years The upper age limit is relaxable up-to 5 years in the case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes/Tribes/OBC, Women and physically handicapped candidates.
