Advanced Centre for Treatment, Research and Education in Cancer, ACTREC, is a unique Institute under the wing of Tata Memorial Centre and a grant-in-aid Institution of the Department of Atomic Energy. ACTREC conducts a PhD program in Life Sciences that is affiliated with the Homi Bhabha National Institute (a deemed university under category A by MHRD, Govt. of India). Post : Project Assistant
To work on a DBT-funded project entitled: - “Mechanisms that govern spontaneous humoral immune responses at tumor beds and outcome.” Principal Investigator : Dr. Subir Biswas
Essential Education Qualification : M.Sc / M.Tech in any branch of Life Sciences or equivalent subject area with a minimum of 60% marks in the qualifying exam.
WORK EXPERIENCE : Essential: Prior training in a basic science lab for 06 months.
Desirable : 04-06 months of experience with mouse handling and performing experiments in mice.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES : Performing experiments for fulfilling the project objectives. Job responsibility will include but not be limited to experiments with mice, human tumor tissues, and mammalian cell culture work, maintaining records, and analyzing/interpreting data.
Consolidated salary : Rs. 20,000/- per month.
Duration : Six Months & Extendable. The work progress of the candidate will be monitored and extension after 6 months will depend on satisfactory progress of the work.
