National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER) is the first national level institute in pharmaceutical sciences with a proclaimed objective of becoming a centre of excellence for advanced studies and research in pharmaceutical sciences. The Government of India has declared NIPER as an 'Institute of National Importance'. It is an autonomous body set up under the aegis of Department of Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, Government of India. The Institute is conceived to provide leadership in pharmaceutical sciences and related areas not only within the country, but also to the countries in South East Asia, South Asia and Africa. NIPER is a member of Association of Indian Universities and Association of Commonwealth Universities.
Post : Research Associate III
Applications are invited from eligible Indian nationals for one position of Research Associate III under a project entitled “The Technical Resource Centre under the Centre for Evidence for Guidelines by NIPER” sponsored by Department of Health Research, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare (Govt. of India), New Delhi [GP-482] under Dr. Dipika Bansal, Associate Professor, Department of Pharmacy Practice, NIPER-SAS Nagar. The position is purely on temporary basis for a period of 01 year (12 months) and is co-terminus with the duration of the project.
Essential Qualifications : Post Graduate degree in Public Health / Statistics / Epidemiology / Health Sciences / Life Sciences / Environmental Sciences / HTA / Population Sciences / Demography / Health Economics / M. Pharma (Pharmacy Practice / Clinical Research) with 05 years of experience. OR Ph. D. in Public Health / Statistics / Epidemiology / Health Sciences / Life Sciences / Environmental Sciences / HTA / Population Sciences / Demography / Health Economics / Pharmacy Practice / Clinical Research.
Desired Qualifications : Preference will be given to candidates with (1) Publications (Systematic Reviews and Meta-analysis) as first author/corresponding author in SCIE Q1 Journals and (2) High-level expertise in conducting data analysis using R Programming/Phyton.
Age limit : Below 36 years as on the date of Walk-in-Interview.
Fellowship : Rs. 67,000/-p.m. consolidated (+ HRA, as applicable).

Application fee as detailed below is required to be submitted at the time of Walk- in-Interview in the form of Demand Draft in favour of ‘Director, NIPER-SAS Nagar’ payable at SAS Nagar (Mohali)/Chandigarh :
i. Application fee for General and OBC category candidates : Rs. 500/-
ii. Application fee for SC/ST/PWD/female candidates : NIL Application fee in other form will not be accepted.
• Candidates appearing for Walk-in-Interview are required to bring duly filled application form in the prescribed proforma with latest passport size photograph pasted on it along with attested copies of testimonials / degrees / certificates etc. in support of the averments made in the qualification, experience and other columns in the application form
• Candidates shall have to produce original documents/testimonials at the time of interview, failing which, such candidates shall not be allowed for interview. The original certificates / degree etc. of the candidate(s) are subject to verification before joining, in case of selection.
• Candidates with incomplete application or without relevant supporting enclosures (i.e. self attested copies of degree / certificates / marks sheets / experience certificate / reprint of important publications, without photographs, signatures and prescribed fee) will not be interviewed.
• Age relaxation for SC / ST / OBC / PWD etc. will be as per the Government of India rules. The candidates are required to attach valid proof for claiming relaxation as per the guidelines prescribed by the Government of India, from time to time.
• In exceptionally meritorious cases or under special circumstances, the eligibility requirements of age, educational qualification and experience for the position may be relaxed.
• The process of selection may include presentation / interview or any other process as decided by the Competent Authority.
• The Institute reserves the right to withdraw advertised post at any time without assigning any reason. Institute also reserves the right to fill or not to fill post and its decision in this regard shall be final.
• No TA/DA will be paid for attending the Walk-in-Interview.
