It was established initially as Regional Research Institute (Ay.) in 1979 with the merger of survey of Medicinal Plants Unit (SMPU), Mobile Clinical Research Unit (MCRU) in addition to Community Health Care Research Programme. The Institute was upgraded as Central Research Institute (Ay.) in 1999. The Institute has shifted to its own building in August 2002. As per the notification of CCRAS dated 15th December 2009, the Institute has been re-upgraded in category A and named as National Research Institute for Ayurveda –Siddha Human Resource Development, Gwalior. Later the name of this Institute has been changed as Regional Ayurveda Research Institute for Drug Development, Aamkho, Gwalior on 19th May 2016. Further the institute has been renamed as Regional Ayurveda Research Institute since 22nd December 2020.

Essential Qualification : Essential: Postgraduate degree in Chemistry with 2 years experience or M.Pharm with Pharmaceutical Chemistry or equivalent degree from recognized University/Institution.
Age : Not exceeding 35 years as on 01.01.2023
Remuneration : Rs.35000 + 18% HRA
Desirable : Preference will be given to candidates having experience in ASLJ&H drug analysis and handling instruments like HPTLC/HPLC/LC-MS/GC-MS. Experience of any research project by the Ministry of AYUSH, ICMR, CSIR, DST or equivalent organization in relevant Held. Skill of drafting and editing of scientific documents/articles/ technical reports etc. Publication in peer reviewed journals. Working knowledge of computer.
General Terms and Conditions
1. The engagement will be purely contractual and co-terminus with the project and no claim for the continuance of regular appointment will be entertained.
2. Age relaxation shall be applicable as per GOI rules
3. No TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview
