Essential eligibility criteria : Ph.D. in Biotechnology / Life - Sciences / Genomics / Bioinformatics / Computational Biology / Human Genetics / Molecular - Biology / Bioscience / Chemistry and other Interdisciplinary areas of science
Desirable Qualification :
• Candidates must have good academic record throughout.
• Applicant should have ability to rigorously design and perform experiments in a result-oriented and thorough manner.
• Ability to perform in-depth and critical data analysis and demonstrate ability to work efficiently with minimum supervision along with good problem solving capacity.
• The candidate should carry excellent skills for time, budget and project
• management and the ability to meet objectives within strictly set deadlines.
• Good oral and written communication skills in English will be appreciated.
Reservation : All things being equal SC/ST/PH candidates will be preferred as per GOI rules.
Nature and duration of support
This project is tenable only in DDUGU campus. This university will provide all necessary administrative and infrastructural support to the selected candidate.
• The fellowship is purely a temporary assignment, and is tenable for a period of one year subject to extension for subsequent year base on the performance of the candidate/decision of the governing body.
• The fellows will be entitled to receive the grants as follows,
Fellowship : Rs. 55,000/- per month (consolidated) p.m
HRA : @16% (Rs. 8,800 per month)
• The fellows are not eligible to receive any other fellowship from any Government or Non-Governmental source during the tenure of the fellowship.
• The fellows must seek the consent of DDUGU if he/she intends to be away from the implementing institute (except for field work related to the project) continuously for a period more than four weeks.
Mode of Application & Selection
• The duly filled application form (Annexure-I) along with (a) Work done so far (max. one page) (b) a research proposal including Project Title, Project summary, Keywords , Objectives of project, Expected output and outcome of the proposal (max. 05 pages) should be submitted along with the self-attested copies of following documents-
• Age proof certificate (X mark sheet/Certificate), all qualification certificates including Ph.D. degree, category certificate (if any).
• The selection will be based on academic achievements, quality of project, research presentation and the personal interview of the candidates.
