NICED moved from the rented premises at No. 3 Kyd Street to its own establishment at P-33, C.I.T. Road, Scheme XM, Beliaghata, Kolkata 700010, adjacent to the Infectious Diseases Hospital. The unique feature of this Institute is that it conducts basic research and applied clinical and epidemiological research on diarrhoeal diseases under the same roof. This Institute has its basic science set up with well equipped, modern technological facilities in different disciplines such as bacteriology, virology, parasitology, biochemistry, pathophysiology, molecular biology, electron microscopy, immunology and biochemistry.
The following posts are to be filled up on purely temporary basis under the ICMR extramural funded ad-hoc research project entitled “Centre for Product Development” under Dr. Shanta Dutta, Director and PL of the project.
Post : Project Senior Research Fellow
Qualification and Experience : Essential : Post Graduate Degree in Basic Science with NET qualification or Graduate Degree in Professional Course with NET qualification or Post Graduate Degree in Professional Course.
Desirable : Should have experience in handling viruses, validation of Real Time PCR assays and laboratory experience of 2 years with one publication.
Monthly Consolidated Salary : Rs. 35,000/- + HRA
Age : Not exceeding 35 years
Candidates fulfilling the above eligibility criteria may report on the date of interview along with an application in the prescribed format affixing recent passport size photograph and attaching Bio-data showing academic records, work experiences, along with self-attested copies of relevant certificates for the Walk-in-Interview at the below given address. In case the number of candidates exceeds 30 Nos. the selection will be based on written test (Multiple-Choice Questions).
GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS TO THE CANDIDATES:
1. Bring the filled in application with one set of photocopy of qualification and experience and other testimonials along with photograph as mentioned above.
2. Candidate should submit all certificates/ testimonials in original for verification. Candidates who fail to bring the Original Certificates will not be considered for written test/walk-in-interview.
3. Age relaxation is admissible in respect of SC/ST and OBC (Govt, of India non creamy layer certificate) candidates, Retrenched Government Employees, Departmental Candidates (including project) and Ex-Servicemen in accordance with the instructions issued by the Central Government from time to time. Age concession to the extent of service rendered in other research projects will also be admissible for experienced and skilled persons.
4. Experience certificate should clearly state the nature of work during the period of employment.
5. No-Objection Certificate from the current employer (for Govt./AB/PSU Servants only).
6. All posts are contractual for the duration offered with a consolidated salary only. The engagement may be renewed after every specific period of the time subject to satisfactory performance and project requirement.
7. The incumbents selected will have no claim for regular appointments or continuation of his/her services in the same or any other project.
8. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the written test/walk-in-interview.
9. The Director, ICMR-NICED reserves the right to increase or decrease the number of posts or cancel the recruitment or re-advertise the posts, without assigning any reasons thereof, no further correspondence will be entertained will be entertained in this regard.
