The Tata Medical Center (TMC) is a not for profit dedicated cancer hospital based in the New Town development in Kolkata. It is one of its kind in eastern India. The Tata Translational Cancer Research Centre (TTCRC) is a research institute within TMC. TTCRC is creating a stimulating environment where clinicians, scientists and industry can work together to develop indigenous solutions for patients with cancer in India. The research laboratories are housed over 3 floors in a building adjacent to the main hospital and house state of the art facilities. Currently over 40 people are working within the facility.

JOB SUMMARY: - Work in Cell therapy lab and clinical research. Perform and involve in method development, method qualification, in process cell based bioassay analytical support during scale-up, global development and technology transfer and clinical data acquisition and analysis.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION : MSc./M.Pharm
EXPERIENCE : Minimum 1.5-3.0 yrs. of experience
- Should have experience in working with mammalian cell culture in a cGMP set up.
- Routine operation, troubleshooting and maintenance of various manufacturing equipment in the cGMP facility.
- Thorough knowledge in aseptic behavior, gowning practices in classified areas and cGMP documentation.
- Able to prepare protocols and reports pertaining to qualification of process and product.
- To some extent experienced in method development and qualification.
- Experience in monitoring/overlooking instrument qualification and facility set-up is desirable.
- Experience in documentation (BPCR, MPCR, SOP, EOP etc), following GDP is a must.
- Should have experience in performing above mentioned techniques independently along with data analysis and compilation.
- Should have experience in training juniors (Trainee Executive/Executive) for these techniques
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: -
- Responsible for maintaining and ensuring cGMP practices.
- Preparation and execution of manufacturing related documents (BPCR, MPCR, SOP, EOP etc) & reports.
- Involve in setting up new CAR-T manufacturing unit, equipment procurement, installation and qualification.
- Train junior (Trainee executive/executive) on instruments and all the analytical methods. Provide appropriate guidance and ensure analysis is done on pre-determined time frame.
- Ensure resources are in stock. Ensure instruments are maintained in a qualified state with essential calibrations and performance verification. Assist superior in preparing facility budget, planning, evaluating and implementing facility procedures and systems.
- Prepare presentation and give update on the work in progress to superiors.
- Enable implementation of novel technological platforms for improved throughput and efficiency as and when required
