The PGIMER owes its inception to the vision of late Sardar Partap Singh Kairon, the then Chief Minister of Punjab and the distinguished medical educationists of the then combined state of Punjab, supported by the first Prime Minister of India Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru who considered the institutions of scientific knowledge as temples of learning and the places of pilgrimage.
Post : Senior Research Fellow (one post)
Applications are invited for one post of Senior Research Fellow in an Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) funded project entitled "'ICMR's Network of Pulmonary Fibrosis". All posts are purely on contract basis initially for up to one year, or until completion of project, and those selected will have no claim to regular appointment under ICMR or any other project.
Eligibility : M.Sc. (Life Sciences) with two years of research experience / MBBS / M.Pharm / BDS (or equivalent)
Desirable : One year or more experience in a research project
Age limit : Below 30 years (5 years relaxation in case of SC/ST/OBC/PH/Women candidates)
Emoluments : As per ICMR guidelines (currently Rs. 35000+16% HRA)
