Junior Research Fellow Job at Regional Centre for Biotechnology

Regional Centre for Biotechnology (RCB), an Institution of national importance established by the Department of Biotechnology, Govt. of India, with regional and global partnerships synergizing with the programmes of UNESCO. The primary focus of RCB is to provide world class education, training and conduct innovative research at the interface of multiple disciplines to create high quality human resource in disciplinary and interdisciplinary areas of biotechnology in a globally competitive research milieu.

Post : Project JRF

Title of Project : “Investigating the GDSL lipase/esterase family to understand the mechanism and the role of polysaccharide O-acetylation in plants for bioenergy applications” (DST-SERB Project No - SRG/2020/000861).

Duration : Initially for one year and may be extended up to maximum two years.

Essential Qualifications : MSc / MTech in life sciences / biotechnology / agricultural biotechnology, Any national level JRF eligibility test such as NET, GATE, etc. qualified.

Desirable Qualifications : Practical knowledge of molecular biology, biochemistry techniques are necessary. Candidate who has 1-year research experience of working on plant system will be preferred. Candidate should be hardworking and team player with interpersonal skills.

Age Limit : Below 28 Years

Principal Investigator : Dr. Prashant Mohan Pawar, Assistant Professor

Fellowship : Rs. 35,960/- (Consolidated) per month
