Potential candidates are invited for a walk-in-interview on 8th Dec 2020 for the position of one Senior Project Scientist in the Next Generation Sequencing Facility in the BioX Centre at IIT Mandi.
Post : Senior Project Scientist for NGS
Job profile : The Senior Project Scientist will perform R&D in the areas of Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) technologies, including NGS sample preparations, NGS Library preparation, Library QC and quality analysis, and setting up the NGS runs.
Eligibility : PhD in Life Sciences/ Biotechnology or relevant subject area.
Selection criteria : Essential: Excellent communication skills, ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team, willingness to learn new techniques.
Desirable : Knowledge and experience in experimental biology, and those who have experience in handling NGS related experiments will be preferred.
Fellowship : 50,000-70,000/- depending on the qualification and experience as per IIT Mandi guidelines.
Duration : Initially for 1 year (May be extended subject to the performance). The selected candidate will need to join immediately.
