The PGIMER owes its inception to the vision of late Sardar Partap Singh Kairon, the then Chief Minister of Punjab and the distinguished medical educationists of the then combined state of Punjab, supported by the first Prime Minister of India Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru who considered the institutions of scientific knowledge as temples of learning and the places of pilgrimage. The institute started in 1962 and Pt Jawahar Lal Nehru inaugurated the hospital now named “Nehru Hospital” on 7th July 1963. The Institute was originally under the Government of undivided Punjab.
Posts under "Estimating Incremental cost of treating antimicrobial Resistant infection in India" project. This project is of 3 months duration. The posts are purely temporary.
Scientist B (Medical)
Essential Qualification : MBBS degree from recognized university.
Job responsibilities :
• He/She will be responsible for coordination with site nodal officer, pharmacist and nurse.
• Identification of cases and controls.
QA and QC extracted data and interview of cases and control of prospective components
Consolidated Salary : Rs. 60,000/-
Scientist B (Non Medical)
Essential Qualification : 1st class degree in life sciences from recognized university with 2 years experience in related field or second class master's degree with PhD in relevant subject from recognized university or BDS/B.V.Sc degree with one year experience
Job responsibilities :
• He/She will be responsible for coordination with site nodal officer, pharmacist and nurse.
• Identification of cases and controls.
QA and QC extracted data and interview of cases and control of prospective components
Consolidated Salary : Rs. 48,000/-
Project Technician-Ill (Pharmacist)
Essential Qualification : 12th pass in science subject and 2 years diploma in Pharmacy
Job responsibilities :
The Pharmacist will be responsible for cost calculation of a drugs mentioned in data extraction sheet.
Consolidated Salary : Rs. 18,000/-
