Central Institute of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants, popularly known as CIMAP, is a frontier plant research laboratory of Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR). Established originally as Central Indian Medicinal Plants Organisation (CIMPO) in 1959, CIMAP is steering multidisciplinary high quality research in biological and chemical sciences and extending technologies and services to the farmers and entrepreneurs of medicinal and aromatic plants (MAPs) with its research headquarter at Lucknow and Research Centres at Bangalore, Hyderabad, Pantnagar and Purara.
Eligible and interested candidates may attend the Interview for engagement on purely temporary basis as Project Assistants and Research Associate under sponsored projects tenable at CSIR-CIMAP Research Centre, Bengaluru.
Project Assistant – One No.
Qualification : M.Sc. (minimum 55% marks) in Biochemistry/Microbiology/ Biotechnology/ any Life science discipline or M.Tech. in Biotechnology. Preference will be given to those who are familiar with yeast biology
Maximum Age Limit : 30 Years
Stipend per month : Rs.31,000/- (Consolidated)
Project Assistant – One No.
Qualification : M.Sc. (minimum 55% marks) in Biochemistry/Microbiology/ Biotechnology/ any Life science discipline or M.Tech. in Biotechnology. Preference will be given to those who are familiar with yeast biology
Maximum Age Limit : 30 Years
Stipend per month : Rs.32,500/- (Consolidated)
Research Associate – One No.
Qualification : Ph.D in Biochemistry/Microbiology/ Biotechnology/Life Sciences. Desirable : Candidates with experience in yeast biology and engineering along with publications in SCI journals
Maximum Age Limit : 35 Years
Stipend per month : Rs.46,800/- (Consolidated)
Terms & Conditions :
• The upper age limit will be as on Date of Interview which is relaxable up to 5 years in the case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribes/Persons with disabilities and OBC candidates.
• Special age relaxation in case of widows, Divorced women and women judicially separated from their husbands, who are not remarried as per rules.
• The position will be co-terminus with the Network, Grant-in aid projects and other projects against which the stipend is offered to the candidates and are non-transferable to another Project.
• If the number of candidates is large, a written test may be conducted to shortlist the candidates for interview.
• Candidates are requested to be present at 09.00 AM for enrolment.
• Candidates who come late will not be entertained.
Interested candidates may appear before the Committee on 18th December 2019 at 10.00 AM at CSIR-CIMAP Research Centre, Bengaluru along with their signed Bio-Data (downloaded from website) with original and attested copies of mark sheets/certificates and a recent passport size photograph.
No TA will be admissible.
