Regional Centre for Biotechnology (RCB) is an Institution of National Importance established through an Act of Indian Parliament by the Department of Biotechnology, Govt. of India under the auspices of UNESCO. The primary focus of RCB is to provide world class education, training and conduct innovative research at the interface of multiple disciplines to create high quality human resource in disciplinary and interdisciplinary areas of biotechnology.
Post : Junior Research Fellow
Title of Project : “Understanding the role of Exocyst complex in cell division and development in Caenorhabditis elegans”
Duration : Till May 31, 2020.
Essential Qualifications :
1) Post Graduate Degree with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate, or
2) B.Pharm/ B.Tech in Life Sciences / related sciences with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate. Practical experience and knowledge of mammalian cell culture, cell biology, high resolution confocal and fluorescence imaging, and protein biochemical analysis is required.
Desirable Qualifications : Practical knowledge of handling Caenorhabditis elegans in the laboratory.
Principal investigator : Dr. Pushpa Kumari, India Alliance/ DBT-Wellcome Early Career Fellow, in the lab of Dr. Sivaram Mylavarapu, Associate Professor.
Fellowship : Rs. 31,000/- per month + HRA (No other benefits admissible).
