The National Institute for Research in Tuberculosis [Formerly Tuberculosis Research Centre (TRC)], a permanent institute under the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), is an internationally recognized institution for Tuberculosis (TB) research. It is a Supranational Reference Laboratory and a WHO Collaborating Centre for TB Research and Training. Recently, an International Centre for Excellence in Research (ICER) in collaboration with NIH was established at the Centre.

The following post are to be filled purely on temporary basis from willing eligible candidates for the study titled "Molecular Maniputation and hybrid strategy in design and discovery of cytochrome bc1 inhibitors as potent leads for drug resistant tuberculosis" on short term contract basis.

Essential qualification: Post Graduate Degree in Basic Science or
Graduate/Post Graduate Degree in professional course selected through a process described through any of the following
a) Scholars who are selected through National Eligibility Tests - CSIR- UGC, NET, including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) and GATE.
b) The selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their agencies and Institutions such as DST DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MHRD, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER, etc.
Age limit: Not exceeding 35 years.
Emoluments: Consolidated salary Rs.31,000/- + HRA Rs.7,440/-
Nature of Duties
1. Mycobacteruial culture processing
2. Knowledge of basic computer operation.
3. Havinq qood Enqlish writing skills.
Duration of contract: Initially for a period of Nine Months
