BBMB invites applications for post of Pharmacist

On Reorganisation of the erstwhile state of Punjab on 1st November, 1966, Bhakra Management Board (BMB) was constituted under section 79 of the Punjab Reorganisation Act, 1966. The administration, maintenance and operation of Bhakra Nangal Project were handed over to Bhakra Management Board w.e.f. 1st October 1967.

Post : Pharmacist

Online applications on prescribed form are invited from the eligible Indian Citizens for recruitment to the following temporary posts of Group-Ill & IV. The format of prescribed application form is hoisted on the web-site of BBMB bbmb.gov.in and alternative website recruitment-portal.in. The candidates are advised to strictly use this format of the application form only, otherwise their application will not be considered. The number of posts may vary to any extent depending upon exigency, either way (increase or decrease) including complete withdrawal. Departmental candidates while sending the copy of online application form through proper channel should invariably mention on top of envelop the word - Advt. No., Name and category of the post applied for.

Qualifications & Experience
(i) Pre Medical/ 10+2 (Medical) with two years diploma in Pharmacy of Allopathic System of Medicine and Dresser’s Course from the recognized Institute
Or
(ii) Matric with Physics & Chemistry and two years diploma in Pharmacy of Allopathic System of Medicine & Dresser's course from the recognized Institute
And
(iii) 500 hours practical training in the institution approved by the Pharmacy Council of State/Central Govt.
(iv) Registered as Pharmacist with Pharmacy Council of State/Central Govt.
(v) Must have passed Hindi/Punjabi upto Matric Standard.

Online Application Fees
1) Each application should be accompanied by non-refundable application fees of Rs. 800/- (for Un- reserved/OBC Category), Rs. 400/- for (Scheduled Caste & Scheduled Tribes). No fee shall be charged from Ex-Servicemen, if they are not released from the service at their own request, but their dependents are required to pay the fee, as applicable. No fee for Women Candidates of any community. No "fee exemption" is available to OBC male candidates and they are required to pay the full prescribed fee. For PWD* If applying in own category i.e. against reservation of PWD post then no fees is payable otherwise in General Category full fees shall have to be paid by them.

Instructions For Departmental Employees
1) Departmental Employees are also eligible to apply if they possess the requisite qualification as mentioned above on the closing date of application. Serving Government employees must send copy of their on-line application form through proper channel before closing date specified below.
2) Copy of on-line Application form complete in all respects along with enclosures must reach in the office of undersigned on or before 30.12.2019 upto 1600 hours. This office will not be responsible for any postal delay. Applications received late will not be considered. No application shall be received by hand or in person or by post except in case of already in-service/departmental candidates through proper channel.
3) The applicant should send copy of his/her On-line application form through Registered/Speed Post/Courier in the office of Member Secretary/Centralized Staff Selection Committee, BBMB, Plot No.6B, Madhya Marg, Sector-19B, Chandigarh-160019 and clearly specify the post applied for and his/her mailing address on the envelope.

General Terms and Conditions:-
1. Every candidate must apply on-line but the candidates already in service (Govt./Semi Govt./ Corporation or Autonomous Body) are simultaneously required to apply through proper channel later-on and hard copy of application through proper channel must reach in due course of time before closing date of receipt of on-line application.
2. The candidate who is in service will have to produce No Objection Certificate at the time of written Test/Trade Test from his/her Head of Institution/employer otherwise he/she will not be allowed to appear in written test/Trade Test.
3. Submission of incomplete application form i.e. without scanned copies of testimonials of prescribed minimum educational qualification as per advertisement, experience certificate (if required), Date of Birth certificate, reservation status with domicile etc. may render the candidate ineligible.
4. The candidates who wish to apply for more than one post, should submit separate application form for each post.
5. The number of posts is liable to increase or decrease either way, including complete withdrawal.
6. The applications received after the closing date will not be considered.
7. The benefit of reservation, including the benefit of relaxation in upper age limit in respect of Candidates belonging to reserved category, will be as per Central Govt, instructions issued from time to time.

Special Instructions
1. The prescribed essential qualifications are minimum and mere possession of the same does not entitle a candidate to be called for written test/trade test. The applicant must possess the minimum Prescribed Qualification on the Closing Date for receipt of applications. If the number of applications received in response to this advertisement is large and it is not convenient or possible for the Centralized Staff Selection Committee to call all the candidates for written/trade test, the Centralized Staff Selection Committee may restrict the number of candidates for written/trade test to a reasonable limit on the basis of qualifications and experience higher than the minimum prescribed in the advertisement or by holding a screening test or by any other method devised by the Centralized Staff Selection Committee, whose decision in the matter shall be final.
2. The decision of the Centralized Staff Selection Committee in all matters relating to eligibility, acceptance or rejection of application, mode of selection, etc. will be final and binding on the candidates and no enquiry or correspondence/ communication oral or written shall be entertained in this behalf.
3. The waiting list of a post shall be prepared for 50% of the advertised vacancies and shall be valid for a period of 1 year as per instructions of Special Secretary, BBMB, Chandigarh circulated vide his office U.O. No. 517-19 dated 02-04-2008. If the vacancies still exists beyond the validity period of 1 year, then the same shall be filled with the approval of Chairman, BBMB in an extended validity period of further 1 year. If some of the vacancies remains unfilled even after operating of waiting list (restricted to 50% of advertised vacancies), during the validity period of waiting list, then these vacancies shall be filled in order of merit from the merit list beyond the waiting list. No waiting/merit list shall in any case be operated beyond 2 years from the date of declaration of result.
4. The selected candidates are liable to be posted anywhere within the jurisdiction of BBMB.
5. Canvassing in any form will disqualify the candidate.

General Instructions
1. A candidate whether belongs to General category or reserved categories can submit only one application for a particular post. Scanned copies of essential certificates, like, date of birth, qualification, experience, reservation proof with domicile, if claimed, etc. may be submitted with the On-line application form on or before 01.01.2020 upto 1600 hours. Applications received late will not be considered. This office would not be responsible for any delay and the applicants are advised to apply well in advance. No application shall be received by hand or in person or by post except in case of already in-service candidates through proper channel. All the columns of the Application Form should be filled in properly.
2. The applicant shall fill in all the columns of the form and write N/A in case any column is not applicable.
3. Relaxation in Age
The applicant must fulfill the age requirement as on 01.07.2019. The upper age is relaxable (a) by 5 years for SC/ST candidates & up to 3 years for OBC candidates, (b) to the extent of 5 years for physically handicapped persons on production of Medical certificate from the Competent Authority (c) in case of Ex-servicemen, as per Central Government Recruitment Rules DoPT No. 15012/2/2010-Estt.(D) Dated 27.03.2012 as amended from time to time and (d) up to 5 years for persons already in the employment of Central/State Government or their Undertakings/ Autonomous Bodies/Boards/ Corporations.
4. Reservation of posts
a) In the case of reserved category candidates, the benefit of age relaxation and fee concession (wherever applicable) will be available only to the candidates possessing the reservation certificate issued by the Competent Authority including those as notified by the Central/State Government from time to time.
b) Candidates seeking benefit of the age relaxation / fee concession under Ex-servicemen quota will include Ex-servicemen himself, his sons and unmarried daughters or daughter-in-law in case no other member of the family has availed the benefit as notified in Central Government Recruitment Rules as amended from time to time. Dependent of such Ex-servicemen will have to produce a certificate of Dependency from the District Sainik Welfare Board, in the prescribed proforma.
c) Wherever applicable, Persons applying under orthopedically handicapped category having minimum 40% or more Physical defect and deformity as certified/issued by competent authority (Civil Surgeon/PGIMER/Govt. Hospital/Main General Hospital) shall only be eligible for the benefit of age relaxation as permissible under the rules of Central Government.
d) W.e.f. 16.12.2016 DoPT/Central Government Reservation Policy is applicable in BBMB and present advertisement.

NOTES
i) No TA/DA or any other expenses will be paid for appearing in the test(s).
ii) The selected candidates will be appointed on regular basis on probation period of 3 years on initial of the pay scale as per Punjab C.S.R or DC Rate as applicable whichever is higher. They shall be governed by the Terms & Conditions mentioned in the appointment letter.
iii) An application form will summarily be rejected in the following events and no correspondence in this regard shall be entertained:-
a) If a candidate makes more than one application for a particular post or submits same application form for more than one post/category.
b) If the application is not accompanied by prescribed fee/unsigned/incomplete/name of post not specified/not accompanied by copies of documents/ required documents not attached.
c) If the application is received after the closing date.
