India decided to go to space when Indian National Committee for Space Research (INCOSPAR) was set up by the Government of India in 1962. With the visionary Dr Vikram Sarabhai at its helm, INCOSPAR set up the Thumba Equatorial Rocket Launching Station (TERLS) in Thiruvananthapuram for upper atmospheric research.  Indian Space Research Organisation, formed in 1969, superseded the erstwhile INCOSPAR. Vikram Sarabhai, having identified the role and importance of space technology in a Nation's development, provided ISRO the necessary direction to function as an agent of development. ISRO then embarked on its mission to provide the Nation space based services and to develop the technologies to achieve the same independently.

Essential Qualifications : Diploma in Pharmacy with first class

Nature of Job : Dispensation of medicines as per doctor’s prescription, preparation of indents using software, proper stocking and storage of medicines, maintenance of records

Age Limit : 18 – 35 years as on 15.12.2017
(Serving Govt. Employees, Ex-servicemen, PWD, meritorious Sportsperson are eligible for upper age relaxation as per Government of India orders)

Level in the Pay Matrix : Level – 05 in the Pay Matrix (Rs 29,200 – Rs 92,300)

1. Applications will be registered on-line only. IMPORTANT INFORMATION :
1. The application form will be hosted on SAC web-site www.sac.gov.in OR recruitment.sac.gov.in/OSAR. Applications will be registered online only. The on-line recruitment portal will be available from 0900 hours on 27.11.2017 to 1730 hours on 15.12.2017 for registration of application. Interested candidates may visit our web-site sac.gov.in OR recruitment.sac.gov.in/OSAR for detailed advertisement and filling-up of online application form. Upon registration, applicants will be provided with an online Registration Number, which should be carefully preserved for future reference. After registration, take two print-outs of the Application summary. For printing ensure that the computer is connected to a printer with A4 size paper and header and footer are removed from page setup. In case printer is not available, you can save the form and print it at your convenience. Please note that site will not be open for printing after 1730 hours of 15.12.2017. Retain one print out of application summary with you and send the other printout with required documents to this office.

IT IS MANDATORY TO SEND HARD COPY OF THE APPLICATION SUMMARY WITH signature and colour photograph pasted in the appropriate column along with self-attested / attested true copies of the testimonials such as Mark sheets and certificates of Educational Qualification, Age Proof, disability certificate in prescribed format (if applicable), discharge certificate in case of ex-servicemen, experience certificate etc. to the following address superscribing the Advertisement Number, Part No., Post Code, Name of the Post and Registration Number on the Front side of the cover and should reach on or before 29/12/2017 through post only. The Centre will not be responsible for any postal delay.

2. Candidates working in Government/Public Undertaking/ Quasi-Government/ Autonomous Organisation should ensure that their applications are sent through proper channel. In case, they anticipate any delay in forwarding their applications, they may submit advance copies of their applications before the due date. However, they should produce at the time of appearing in the Written Test/ Skill Test either a `NO OBJECTION CERTIFICATE’ from their respective organisation in original, or an attested copy of the communication under which their applications have been forwarded for consideration.

3. Please note that the qualifications prescribed above for the posts advertised are the minimum requirement and the same does not automatically make the candidates eligible for written test / skill test (as the case may be). Initial screening will be done and only Screened-In candidates will be called for further selection process at Ahmedabad.

4. Incomplete applications like those without photograph, signature, mark-sheets, date of birth proof, Caste Certificate in prescribed format (if applicable), application not in the proper format and those received after due date will be rejected outright. Organisation is not responsible for Postal services delay.

5. Those who possess the required qualification as on 15.12.2017 only need apply. If any information furnished in the online application is found false at any stage of recruitment process, the candidature will be cancelled.

6. Rounding-off of marks is NOT allowed. In case the marks obtained are in the form other than percentage, (CGPA and CPI), please convert them into percentage and the formula of conversion should be certified by the Head of the Institution/ University/Board or should be mentioned in the mark-sheet.

7. It is for candidates to ensure that he/she fulfils the eligibility criteria and complied with the requirements adhered to the instructions contained in this advertisement as well as in the application form. Candidates are, therefore urged to carefully read the advertisement and complete the application form and submit the same as per instructions given in this regard.

8. Candidates will have to produce original documents in proof of the details furnished in their application at the time of Skill Test for verification. Those who fail to produce the said documents will not be allowed to attend the Skill Test and TA will not be paid.

SELECTION PROCEDURE
The Written Test will be conducted only for the Screened-In candidates. Based on the written test scores, required no. of candidates alone shall be called for skill test. Written Test will be conducted in such a way that theoretical and practical knowledge of the candidate is tested covering both breadth and depth of the prescribed curriculum. The skill test will be purely on ‘go-no-go’ basis and marks obtained in the skill test will not be considered for selection. The skill test will be evaluated on a 100-point scale with minimum 60% for qualification. From amongst candidates who qualify in the skill test with minimum 60% marks, empanelment will be done in the order of marks obtained in the written test. In case of a tie in the written scores, the academic scores of the notified qualification will be the tie-breaker.

GENERAL CONDITIONS:

7.Outstation Candidates called for Skill Test will be paid to and fro Second Class Sleeper Railway Fare or fare of non-AC bus or actual fare whichever is less by the shortest distance from the address given in on-line application to the place of Skill Test on production of proof of journey, irrespective of the mode of journey viz., Rail, Bus, Air, etc. No TA will be paid for attending Written Test.

8. Initially the place of posting will be in SAC, Ahmedabad, but the incumbents are liable to be posted in any of the Centres/Units of ISRO or Department of Space situated anywhere in India as and when required.

9. Selected candidates may have to join the post immediately on being found fit by a Medical Authority.
