KSHSRC is a Centre of Excellence for strengthening of National Health Mission (NHM). KSHSRC was started in 2009 to technically assist the Department of Health & Family Welfare, Government of Karnataka to build the capacities of the Officers of the Department. KSHSRC proactively identifies the issues, gaps, deficiencies in the health system and works towards solving them. It has expanded its activities by entering into collaboration with like-minded agencies who work in health – research, strengthening public health, hospital research and health policy.
Post : Consultant – Quality Monitoring and Service Delivery
Roles & Responsibilities
• Assist the state of Karnataka in improving services delivery outcomes through mechanisms for quality improvement.
• Develop strategy of providing technical assistance to hospital management committees (Registered Medical Record System) and district health societies (DHS) so as to deliver better quality services in the health facility health district.
• Assist the state in developing strategies for assessing, and intervening in issues of governance that impinge on quality of healthcare services in the public health system and supporting change in the area of institutional structures and governance.
• Undertake such other assignments, which may be assigned by the Executive Director, KSHSRC.
Eligibility and qualification
• MBBS/ Dental/ AYUSH/ Pharmacy/ Nursing /paramedical graduate with Masters (Degree/Diploma) in Hospital/Health Management from a recognised institute.
• At least 2 years of post-qualification experience of working on Quality Assurance Projects in Hospital/Health/Health and family welfare.
• Computer skills with good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Power-point presentation.
• Good inter-personal and facilitation skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and proficiency in Kannada.
Desirable:
• Advance Qualification in Hospital/ Health Management from a recognised institute.
• Recognised Qualification in a Quality Management System, which may be waived off in case of deserving candidates, who have robust field experience.
• Experience of working in a hospital’s administration department
• Preference may be given to those applicants, who have directly worked on the assignments, resulting into certification / accreditation of hospitals to a recognised quality system such as ISO 9001:2008/ NABH/ JCI/ NABL/NQAS.

Travel and subsistence
The job requires extensive travelling to the Districts/Talukas/Villages (Minimum of 10 working days in a month). All travels must be authorized in advance by Executive Director, KSHSRC. The Consultant shall be reimbursed for travel as per KSHSRC rules.
Age Limit: 50 years & below
Remuneration
Consolidated consultancy fee of Rs.60,638/- per month.
Contractual post - initially for 1 year: later continuation subject to the performance.
Reporting: Will report to the Executive Director, Karnataka State Health System resource Centre (KSHSRC)
