Post : Process Lead

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
1. Responsible for quality and functionality of regulatory intelligence content sets part of Cortellis.
2. Participates in specialist interpretation in the form of research, analysis, and writing to support the development and maintenance of premium content in respective domain.

RESPONSIBILITIES
FUNCTIONAL EXPERTISE
1. Using good scientific expertise and ability, interprets and implements policy and applies defined processes.
2. Develops a working knowledge of the products including usability.

SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH, ANALYSIS AND WRITING

  • Identifies key scientific issues in editorial material.
  • Creates and classifies scientific information in the form of abstracts, texts, reports, articles, indexes and highlights.
  • May review and edit scientific information created by other employees, authors, freelancers and others.
  • Tests editorial tool enhancements and developments as appropriate, ensuring developments are fit-for-purpose, serve the needs of the team, and have no detrimental impact on the data/product elsewhere.
  • Fast-tracks important content onto the database as appropriat

 

EDITORIAL RESPONSIBILITY

  • To achieve and exceed own performance standards viz. proficiency & quality.
  • Adheres to editorial publishing schedules and quality standards.
  • Train any new team members or existing members on policies and guidelines of the content process within the team
  • May verify own work and that of colleagues and external contributors as required for accuracy, completeness and quality, and ensures that the information is properly presented and organized.
  • Maintains and develops scientific knowledge and skills training as required to complete work and stay current on scientific trends and developments related to the employee’s editorial responsibilities.
  • Reviews performance gaps (quality) between team members and ensures that the performance of all the members is above the benchmark via various feedback mechanisms
  • Demonstrates solid scientific knowledge.

INDIVIDUAL DEVELOPMENT
1. Can take initiative by raising, discussing, and resolving subject matter and production issues.
2. Acts as an expert scientific subject matter resource within the department and is able to answer questions from the team on related content.

  • Gaining experience in understanding the specific relationships between editorial tools and the products, how fielded data are displayed on the product, and reasoning behind policies.
  • Ability to interpret, analyze, select, organize, and communicate complex scientific material in preparation of content sets.
  • Gaining experience in understanding publishing workflow and its impact on production, timeliness and product quality.
  • Gaining experience in understanding company specific systems and products necessary to navigate and perform job functions.
  • Proactive member of the workgroup to accomplish objectives.
  • Ability to communicate appropriately and effectively with all contacts, both in and outside the process and stream. Has some awareness of industry trends.

RELATIONSHIPS (INTERNAL & EXTERNAL)
Develops and maintains relations with co workers / team members as required
Collaborates with team members within the department and other leaders to deliver on objectives.
Interacts with stakeholders regarding product deliverables and solving issues.

CERTIFICATION / EDUCATION
Advanced University / Post Graduate / Graduate degree in Life Sciences subject.
Good understanding of Pharma landscape / Regulatory Affairs.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Research analyst with minimum 1 year experience in the process.
Experience in relevant specialty viz. handling regulatory information content and/or editing/publishing environment.
Understands how customers use products and customer requirements.
