Job Description:
The Biotechnology Research/ADME group is responsible for evaluating the preclinical pharmacokinetics and disposition of therapeutic proteins/peptides and monoclonal antibodies. The team interfaces with toxicology, discovery biology, protein engineering and multiple therapeutic areas to help identify and characterize optimal therapeutic candidates to advance to clinical testing. The group is expanding capabilities in analytical, cell biology and PK/PD to more fully characterize factors influencing the absorption and disposition of biologic therapeutics.

Develop/validate cell based methods/systems to study mechanisms of cellular uptake and degradation of therapeutic monoclonal antibodies

Develop and refine in vitro systems to study and optimize antibody transport into the central nervous system

Develop cell based models to study antibody-receptor trafficking patterns and interactions with FcRn
- Participate in cross-functional working groups
Key Objectives/Deliverables:

Development/characterization of novel cell based assay systems

Interface with biology, discovery research and protein engineering groups

Write preclinical study reports
Candidate Profile:
PhD degree in cell biology, biochemistry, immunology
Minimum of 3 years of experience studying cellular mechanisms of antibody disposition
Additional Skills/Preferences
Experience in the development/validation of cell based assays
Experience with flow cytometry, confocal microscopy and high content imaging
Experience with immunoassay formats and applications development
Experience with antibody labeling methods, protein fractionation, chromatography handling of radioisotopes
Experience with immunohistochemical techniques
Strong written and verbal communication skills
