Indian Council of Medical Research, an autonomous organisation under Deptt. of Health Research M/o Health fit Family Welfare, Govt, of India, a premier research organisation dealing with health research, intends to fill up a vacant post of Additional Director General/Scientist -‘H’ in HAG pay scale of Rs. 67000- 79,000 by deputation/ absorption basis from the eligible persons from Ministries/ Departments of Central/State Governments and Autonomous Institutions.
Post: Additional Director General/Scientist -‘H’
Applications/nominations are invited from the candidates who fulfil the eligibility and conditions as per details given below:-
Eligibility Officer holding analogous post on regular basis in Central/State Governments/Autonomous Institutions.
Or
Officers holding a post, in the area of bio-medical research, in PB-4 (Rs. 37,400-67,000) with grade pay of Rs. 10,000 and having minimum 5 years of service in the grade as on the closing date of receipt of applications.
Essential Qualification
i) MBBS degree recognized by MCI or equivalent degree from a recognized University.
Or
1st Class Master’s degree in Life Science from a recognized University
ii) Fifteen years R&D experience, in medical field/life science in a recognized institutions after obtaining essential qualification, out of which at least 7 years in a managerial position to handle R & D projects independently in a team in a directing position.
Desirable Qualification
i) Doctorate Degree in Life Science or MD from a recognized University.
ii) Additional post doctoral research/teaching experience in recognized Institute (s)/University.
iii) Knowledge of Computer Applications.
Job Requirement
This is a research management post. The incumbent is required to assist the Director General and liaise with Govt, agencies and provide high level leadership in the formulation of research programmes and in organizing/co-ordinating research activities/projects.
Age Limit: The Officers should not have crossed the age of 58yearsas on the closing date of receipt of application for the above mentioned posts. The age relaxation for ICMR departmental candidates may be given as per rules.

v) List of minor/major penalty, if any, imposed on the applicant during last 10 years.
The terms & conditions and pay & allowances of the officers selected for appointment on deputation basis will be governed as per the provisions contained in Government of India, DOP & TOM No. 6/08/2009 - Estt(Pay.ll) dated 17.06.2010, as amended from time to time. The initial period of deputation shall be for a period of 3 years and can be extended up to 5 years as per instructions. Subject to willingness, the selected candidate can be absorbed permanently. However, in case of selection of an internal candidate it will be treated as promotion.
