The origins of the Advanced Centre for Treatment, Research and Education in Cancer ( ACTREC) are rooted in the Indian Cancer Research Centre (ICRC), which was established in 1952 in Parel, Mumbai, under the purview of the Ministry of Health, Government of India. In 1966, ICRC was renamed the Cancer Research Institute (CRI) and amalgamated with the Tata Memorial Hospital (TMH), creating the first comprehensive cancer centre in India - the Tata Memorial Centre (TMC), an autonomous grant-in-aid institution of the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE), Government of India.

To work on project entitled “Research and Innovation in AYUSH Component of Ayurgyan”
Educational Qualification : Essential / Mandatory: Ph.D / MD / MS / MDS or equivalent degree or having 3 years of research and development or teaching experience after MVSC / M.Pharm / ME / M.Tech, with at least one research paper in Science Citation Index (SCI) journal.
Desirable / Preferable : Experience in drug discovery & development, particularly in in silico, in vitro & in vivo methods is desirable. It is also preferred if candidates have experience in techniques including but not limited to flow cytometry, qPCR, Western blot, cytotoxicity assays, animal handling, and confocal microscopy.
Job Responsibilities : Working in a state-of-the-art pharmacology and experimental therapeutics laboratory, the candidate will lead a small group of passionate researchers in the discovery and development of herbal drugs for cancer through design and conduct of experiments, conducting regular team meetings, preparation of progress reports and any other work assigned by the Principal Investigator. The selected candidate will also be responsible for managing and supervising the functioning of junior project staff. He/She will be the liaison and the primary point of contact for all project related activities and coordination with various departments.
Duration : Six Months and Extendable. The work progress of candidates will be monitored and extension after six months will depend on satisfactory progress of the work.
Consolidated Salary : Rs. 58,280/- per month.
